Off Topic: A Calvin and Hobbes Cartoon?

By | June 9, 2014

[June 09, 2014] Cartoonist Bill Watterson returned briefly as a guest to draw in the cartoon strip called Pearls Before Swine. He did so to raise money for a Parkinson’s charity called Team Cul de Sac. Of course, Bill Watterson is the creator of the superb cartoon series called Calvin and Hobbes1; a strip that he stopped at the end of 1995.

Watterson-Leader-500My son grew up reading the Calvin and Hobbes series of cartoons and has an autographed copy of a print by Watterson hanging on a wall in his home. Bill Watterson seems to have an uncanny knack for understanding kids and how adults interact with them. Great humor and extremely well-drawn cartoon strips are the hallmark of Bill Watterson.

Best of luck to Bill Watterson and Team Cul de Sac2. Bill, please feel free to re-start your Calvin and Hobbes cartoon any time. Team Cul de Sac has our respect and support.
