By | October 5, 2019

[October 5, 2019]  Admit it- you strive to be respected, to have authority and unquestioned influence on other people. Each of us wants to be a leader, but only few people understand the way to achieve this.

How to become a leader in life? It is not easy, but quite possible. We will have a closer look at these five tips for true leaders.

  1. Think about the reason, why you want to become a leader.

It is very important to determine your goal. Despite the outward simplicity of this step, everything can be much more complicated. Leaders are not the people, who were bored or had lack of emotion and decided to become a leader. They had a precise goal and they reached it.

  1. Take charge.

Everyone knows that taking charge is the leader’s main quality. You are now responsible for not only yourself, your life, for your work, but for other people. You are risking your money. Look around, only few people want to be responsible. You can see only bosses, not the leaders. The leader differs from the boss in that leadership is given voluntarily, people follow you as they WANT to and they believe you.

  1. The leader does not blame anyone.

As soon as you begin to blame the country, the authorities, your partners, everything – you are not a leader. If you have a complete collapse in your personal life or at work, then in this very difficult situation the true leader understands that something is wrong with him only.

  1. Do not waste time on something that is not useful to you.

Focus on success. Think about how to achieve your goal. If you study at a university, it is not necessary to think over each task, especially if you know that it will not become useful for your life. You can, for example use best essay writing service on Reddit to make your life easier.

  1. Develop your own measures of personal success.

It should be a desire of self-realization, a dream or just an idea. Go to your goal, it should not be the dream to earn all the money in the world. You need to do what you truly like.

The goals are set and you are getting under way. Now you should know what the qualities of a true leader are.

Qualities of a true leader:

  • Self confidence
  • Determination
  • Followers Care
  • Belief in the leadership qualities of your subordinates
  • Binding nature
  • Insight.

Leadership is an acquired behavior that over time becomes subconscious. Leaders can make several important decisions regarding a problem, while others only think about the point. You are able to become a leader, be steady in purpose!

“Belief in the leadership qualities of your subordinates”
TRUST those who you lead. If you don’t trust them, they will figure it out quick and you will be a failed leader.
I’ve seen this happen too many times with my own eyes. The results are not good for anyone.

Hi Gil. Haven’t been on Gen. Satterfield’s leadership blog in a week or so. Too much work for now. But yes, Frank has done a good job here and he should be encouraged to write more. MANCHESTER, what a great place to live. Cheers!

Yep, “take charge.” I would think, in my opinion anyway, that this is one of the main stays of being a qualified leader. Too many SAY they are the leader and are in charge but when the s*** hits the fan, they wither away. Only then do the real leaders step forward. Good article Frank.

Hi Frank. Good article. I would also like to add that it is of utmost importance for a leader to have a vision and to be able to communicate it clearly. This helps bring folks together.
