Judgments: by Army Vet

[May 7, 2016]  Army Vet reflects today on COWED GENERALS and ADMIRALS.

What to know something?  Generals and admirals are amateurs but not in the way common man thinks.  They’re amateurs in fighting new and immerging threats to their nations.  They’re amateurs because they’re soldiers when they should be warriors.  I say, think like a soldier, die like a coward, think like a warrior, live like a hero.  Contradiction?  No, I think not.  I know a lot of generals and they’ve asked me to do some violence on bad guys.  Don’t get me wrong, I like taking the fight to evil.  But the generals who give orders have a yella streak a mile long.

The reason, simple.  Generals and admirals in the West are cowed by politicians.  Yeah, I know about all that rubbish talk about civilian control of the military.  Results are unsatisfactory.  Why?  Because political civilians presiding over the military are generally cowards themselves.  What they do, how they think, and the orders to the military they give are reflected in their moral cowardice.  Shocked?  You shouldn’t be.  When the source of military control over the military is formed through cowardice the very best we can get from our military leadership is action-based judgment from a man who is cowed.

If you’re a military veteran and reading this, you instinctively know what I mean.  If you’re not, find someone who is and have them explain it.

That doesn’t mean that the generals and admirals are stupid or lazy.  They were chosen for their senior rank for the reason that they personify the very values that made their country great.  What stands out as their weakness is their unwillingness to tell politicians the real truth about the enemy and about their army.  That’s why we see the top priorities of U.S. military generals are suicide prevention and prevention of sexual harassment.  What?  Frankly, these should never be a high priority.  Killing the enemy and destroying those things the enemy values are what great militaries do.  Pussy foot around with crap like this and you will be utterly destroyed.

Afraid to tell the harsh truth about the enemy?  Islamic terrorists are warriors.  They’re not paid.  They joined the cause because they wanted to see the caliphate where a Muslim chief rules the world.  Islam is not a religion like we think of but an all encompassing life involving the government, families, religion, employment, etc.  For us, that’s radical and that’s why they produce warriors who willingly fight to the death.  Our political elite morons can’t seem to bring themselves to understand that fact and our generals and admirals have not been able to tell them.  Our politicians act like a little police action will stop terrorism and a few jobs at McDonalds will permanently solve the problem.

So, correct me if I’m wrong, but my friends in the military can see this all with great clarity.  But our most senior military officials and politicians cannot.  Warrior leadership is required and we simply don’t have it.

“Army Vet” is, of course, a pseudonym. He is real. The only way he would agree to write for theLeaderMaker.com was anonymously. As you will see, he’s not afraid to name names and tell it like it is but he fears for his friends still in the military and other 3-lettered federal agencies, thus the fake name. He has worked with leaders of other militaries around the world and served several decades in the U.S. Army. He writes on military leadership but I think you will find him to be unconventional and controversial.
