Political Leadership: Sebastian Gorka

By | November 12, 2020

[November 12, 2020]  As part of my on-going series on political leadership, today I take on Sebastian Gorka.  Dr. Gorka is a naturalized U.S. citizen, born in Britain.  He was a military and intelligence analysis and having served in President Trump’s administration.  He is unabashedly politically conservative with expertise in national security and foreign affairs.  His ideas are often controversial and that is reason I’m highlighting him today.

Dr. Gorka is aggressive, talkative, and combative.  He is all-in for President Trump and will happily tell you that he is.  Over the past week, Gorka has dedicated his 3-hour daily radio program (see link here) to “getting out the news on Trump’s reelection.”1  His shows are easy to follow, and Gorka does a great job explaining complex issues.

“You want to lecture others about morals, principles, and ‘character?’ Then don’t stand by those who have none.” – Sebastian Gorka

Recently, Dr. Gorka asked a critical question; Will Communism finally win in America?  He frequently talks about his parents, who lived under Communist totalitarianism and whose father was tortured and imprisoned by a Marxist regime.  Knowing the enemy is always something a good leader must do, and Dr. Gorka sees communism as the enemy; pure and simple.

Various national security scholars in academia have labeled Dr. Gorka as a fringe figure.  Some critics have gone so far as to challenge his academic credentials and denigrate his views on Islam and radicalization.  This has become a classic attack strategy by political leftists when they strongly disagree with someone.  Is Gorka a “fringe” political commentator or an experienced, highly educated businessman?

Dr. Gorka can do an interview and make it entertaining simultaneously.  He is hard-hitting, focused, and smart.  If you are a liberal or leftists, expect to be taken apart piece by piece in a one-on-one debate unless you have all your facts in order.  Gorka is particularly critical of the media and believes that laws should be passed to force them to stop restricting free speech.

Like many others highlighted in this series, Dr. Gorka believes the truth matters.  He is boldly patriotic and believes deeply in the sanctity of American institutions.  That is why he refers to the false but pervasive political attacks on President Trump as the greatest scandal in American history.

I came to this leadership website on a search for Dr. Gorka and I came away happy that I found it. This article is just one example on how America has finally figured out that the news media has been lying to us over and over.

Welcome to Gen. Satterfield’s leadership blog, Mr. Chang. I hope you come back regularly and comment. That is how we improve upon the discussions and our understandings of leadership, the human condition, and history.

Another excellent example of a great American speaking his mind, using facts and analysis. There will be many leftists who not only disagree but will target him for his exercising of his First Amendment rights. Yet, the leftists say Dr. Gorka is violating the US Constitution. Of course, he is not, since the leftists are the Mao-Lenin wannbes.

Pay close attention to this man and do not underestimate his resolve. His enemies should be fearful of him and what he can do. He is smart, highly driven, and willing to sacrifice everything for his principles of freedom for Americans. Let this be a warning to all the libs out there that they can expect a relentless beating from this man.

Good point, I would not want to get tangled up with him in an intellectual dual. Many leftists are insane enough to do so, and only at their own peril.

Thanks Doc. I do my best. I’ve learned a bit about movie reviews by reading many. What I found out is that what reviewers write and what people want, are sometimes two different things.

Hard hitting, honest, focused and well mannered. This is the kind of person I like to see out and about doing things to help keep senior political leaders in line. Yes, they do need to be kept in line for the sake of us all. Dr. Gorka doesn’t mess around with the pretty things, he digs deep into the reasons why so many bad decisions are being made by politicians and says what needs saying. Pay close attention to this guy.

Gen. Satterfield. Thanks for this series. May Sean Hannity or Tucker Carson should be one of the next subjects of this mini-series. I know I would like to read it and see you highlight them as well. 😊

You know when someone is hitting well at home plate (to use a baseball analogy). This guy sure is taking a beating from the traditional media and new social media outlets. They want to discredit him because what he says hurts their neo-Marxist views. Yep, Marxist.

Jerome, I will add just one thing. These “neo-Marxists” you write about are more, they are closer to Lenin Marxists than what we normally think of as “neo”. They are Lenin-like becuase they want to destroy their conservative opponents any way they can, including murder if they can get away with it. That is why so many leftist politicians – like Joe Biden and K. Harris – are not denouncing violence, looting, rioting, and murder in the big cities controlled by Democrats.

In his most recent book, The War for America’s Soul, Dr. Gorka lays out the danger we face with a large portion of society who do not understand the left’s dangerous move toward socialism. This book is a must read for those people who believe socialism is a benign ideology.

Great recommendation. I would think that Gen. Satterfield may want to add one or two of these books to his list of recommended readings. Or, do a book review at some point to emphasize the nature of Dr. Gorka’s evolution of thinking and action. He is indeed, a man of action.

I got to hand it to you, Gen. Satterfield, you know how to pick out some rising stars among the clutter. This guy Dr. Sebastian Gorka is one that I’ve come to respect and admire. He will go far despite what the fake news says about him.

Excellent article on a man I’ve admired for a long time, Gen. Satterfield. So, …. thank you. I believe that those who are saying is a “fringe” person, politically, means that he must be over the liberal target and is taking flak for that reason. He has their number and they know it and they are scared because of it.

Great analogy. He does take a bit of flak, does he not. I like this Dr. Gorka fellow. Reminds me of my uncle who was a state representative in Texas and could always find a way to get me to smile. No surprise there that he could get re-elected so many times.

Very nicely written, Len. And, great point. When the political leftists disagree with you, you are simply labelled as something bad … eg., racist, sexist, etc. and now they are simply saying you are on the fringe of society. Translation, you are a nut.

That is spot on. Giving people negative labels and using the social media to make it stick by repeating it hundreds of thousands of times. Just look at what Fox News has done! Now I call them Faux News.

Very good article on Dr. Gorka. I just discovered him about a week ago during the last days of the presidential campaign. His radio show is great. So, if you are looking for something different and for a person with charisma and is highly motivated, Dr. G is da man.
