Excellence, Competitiveness, and Sportsmanship

By | August 2, 2025

[August 2, 2025]  Big words for a big program to improve the health of our children in President Trump’s MAKE AMERICA FIT AGAIN strategy. That’s the goal of a new Executive Order signed by Trump this past Thursday which establishes a Presidential test and award. The EO establishes excellence, competitiveness, and sportsmanship in schools.

Most adults today lived with President Eisenhower’s program until ordered to shift away from fitness by Obama in 2012. Standards of fitness are back, after some close review of how they impact handicapped students and others.

“We’re officially restoring the Presidential Fitness Test and the Presidential Fitness Award – and it’s going to be a very big thing.” — President Donald J. Trump, July 31, 2025

This action by the President is the right decision and at a critical time when we, as a nation, have failed to encourage fitness. Unfortunately, America has been rewarding young people to be lazy, nasty, and fat. This swing back to fitness helps our children be better stewards of their own bodies.

It’s an opportunity that Trump has addressed in his previous term. And we are now about to make more improvements in the educational system. Good physical fitness helps drive a better rounded, studious student due to the link between physical and emotional fitness.

The Order also creates a Sports Council that will assist with issues pertaining to college athletics and women’s sports.

Young folks today live in an X-Box world. iPhones and games are a distraction. Fat kids are common.

Perhaps the President can also target healthier foods in the nation’s food supply. We need to teach kids about healthier, fresher, less surgery foods.

The perfect slogan, or “Make America Healthy Again,” which is the one that Robert Kennedy came up,with, I think. How could anyone be against this message and real action to make it so. But I’ve seen too many folks, even smart ones that I know, who have caught the mind virus of TDS and cannot think straight. All their thinking is emotionally driven. Too bad they are destroying their own lives and those around them. Being healthier is better for us all.

Hey, thanks Gen. Satterfield. These are the very values that I’ve tried to instill in my kids. Whenever playing team sports, school, church, a night out with the family, we always demand excellence with high standards, a friendly competition, and good sportsmanship always. That is how to raise a family right and I’ve done that. All my kids are well balanced and would never fall into the trap of being a “trans” or have some kind of “mental illnes.” My wife says those kind of people are RETARDED. I laugh my butt off on that one.

When Pres Obama got ride of this program way back then, I criticized the decision to deemphasize physical fitness because that would lead to lazy, crazy, immature kids. And that’s exactly what happened. It will take a long time to re-integrate physical fitness standards back into the system. Easy to take it away, hard to get back.

President, now EX-president Barack Obama did far more damage, and lasting damage than any of us could ever imagine. Stopping the program to encourage fitness in schools was just another attack on what is good in America. FBO.
