The Google Gemini AI Fiasco

By | February 28, 2024

[February 28, 2024]  This month, Google launched its new Gemini AI, and it was a fiasco, generating a storm of controversy about its Woke, racist, and anti-historical output.  The program generated highly inaccurate and offensive images, forcing Google to apologize.

“The AI model first found itself in hot water when users found its image service was generating historically inaccurate images, such as Black vikings, an Asian woman in a German World War II-era military uniform and a female Pope.”- Forbes, February 26, 2024

After a fundamentally flawed rollout of the Google Gemini, the company “paused” its image generation capabilities.  The plan is to relaunch in a few weeks, according to CNBC, citing Google DeepMindCEO Demis Hassabis.  But Elon Musk claimed that he doubted “Google’s woke bureaucratic blog” would allow it to be fixed unless those who created it are removed from Google.  Musk added, “Nothing will change except to make the bias less obvious and more pernicious.”

In a FoxNews’ Jesse Waters segment, Waters claims that “there is no place in Gemini for whites in the code.”  He says that if you ask Gemini to create an image of a historical event, “you get a black George Washington as a founding father.”  It has been pointed out that there is a reason for the gender and race swapping: Google wants to impact the overall American culture.

How intelligent is artificial intelligence?  It is only as smart as those doing the programming.  Thus, the problems with Google Gemini reflect those who work at Google, which is not a good sign for the world.

To understand why Gemini is such a failure, look at the man who oversaw its creation: Senior Director Jack Krawczyk.  Crazy Krawczyk wrote that “white privilege is f–king real” and America is rife with “egregious racism.”  His tweets recently discovered on X/Twitter showing his racist views prompted him to set his feed to private, but images were captured.

Google and Krawczyk declined to comment on his posts.

“Woke, race-obsessed idiot in charge of product at Gemini,” declared Ian Miles Cheong, an influencer who interacts with Elon Musk.  That pretty much sums it up.

EVIL, we find it in Google because they hire smart people without any values. “Stupid is as …”

Gen. Satterfield, thanks for this article. Yep, when you get a bunch of really really smart people in a room, you might just get a fantastic crash in the project. Why? At Google, they don’t hire based on common sense but upon the ideology they possess.

Gen. Satterfield in December 2018 said “For this reason, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and his senior-most executives have been called out for their lack of morally-centered decisions. It’s not the technology that is good or evil but how Google has decided to use it. For future generations who grow up with true leaders at the helm, they will be able to look back on Google’s senior leadership and learn the many lessons presented by the state of affairs Google has found itself.” How spot on he was about Google then, six years ago and the same exactly applies TODAY.

SAVAGE ….. How intelligent is artificial intelligence? It is only as smart as those doing the programming. Thus, the problems with Google Gemini reflect those who work at Google, which is not a good sign for the world.” — Gen. Doug Satterfield strikes again with a savage takedown of Google. This is not the first time.

This article is behind their paywall, but I’m sure you can figure out how to bypass.
“… let’s talk about the culture war quagmire Alphabet waltzed into with an ill-conceived attempt to overcome AI’s inherent racial biases. The ham-fisted effort at putting some guardrails around the images from its Gemini models blew up in the company’s face, forcing it to temporarily disable Gemini’s image-creation capabilities and issue a public apology. Investors were not impressed, driving Alphabet’s stock down more than 4%. Some vitriolic critics even called for Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai to step down or be fired.”

Yep, Google wokist basement dwellers are at it again. Google being Google decided it needed to do something about the problem. The way it seems to have done so was to instruct Gemini behind the scenes to always generate images of an ethnically diverse set of people and to refuse prompts designed to have it generate images of only white people.

Great to see you back, RED. Thank you for your comments, as always. We would love to read more of your thoughts on the crazy world we are in now and I know you would love to write about it, but, we can appreciate the fact you have to fight the crazies everyday and that takes time and energy and commitment. If you can, while working, please give Gen. Satterfield a thumbs up for us and recommend his books.
