[September 13, 2023] Rachel Zegler, the actress who plays Snow White in an upcoming Disney movie, is destroying herself and this movie’s prospects with her lack of humility. Zegler is an example of where Woke ideology meets reality. After facing a growing backlash against her and the movie for her ignorant, insulting, and abusive comments, she predictably claims she is the victim of hate speech.
“You know the original [Disney] cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so um, there is a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her (laughing); weird, weird, so we didn’t do that this time. We have different approach to what I’m sure a lot of people will assume is a love story just because we like cast a guy in the movie.” – Rachel Zegler,
Those familiar with the original Snow White story know what she says is untrue. However, Zegler just made this up out of thin air; it does fit in nicely with Woke ideology. The effect of her many negative comments about the original story is Disney executives are considering delaying the release, recasting another Snow White, or canceling the movie altogether. Zegler’s hubris has endangered her future and the success of the movie.
Zegler also suggested that casting a male character as the Prince did not guarantee a love story, misrepresenting and insulting the original love tale. She went on to degrade the male lead in the story as useless trash that could be removed at any time from the movie.
