Do Generals & Admirals Take Cognitive Tests?

By | February 14, 2024

[February 14, 2024]  First things first: Happy Valentine’s Day!  Now, on to a more serious topic.  Do U.S. military Generals and Admirals take cognitive tests?  The answer is ….. wait for it … “NO.”  That is the answer for good or bad, and I think the reason is that these senior leaders are surrounded by brutally honest professionals who would not tolerate a cognitively impaired leader.

No cognitive test is needed.  Looking back at history, a cognitive test might have been helpful in the case of Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Mussolini, and Mao.  Some leaders today might have that test conducted and the results shown to everyone.  Of course, the results won’t matter in the case of a dictator like Putin or Xi or with a “supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution” like Khomeini.  We already know most of them are crazy.

On The Daily Show, we see Jon Stewart kicking off his show with a “wellness check on America’s two chronologically challenged candidates: Joe Biden and Donald Trump.”  Be prepared to laugh as he exposes the latest media talking points that President Joe Biden is “sharp” [intellectually].

Ron Stewart: The Daily Show

For a little more levity, VP Kamala Harris says Biden is mentally “sharp,” but she is ready to serve as Biden faces age scrutiny.  Kamala, please make up your mind.

Sometimes I wonder who needs these tests.  In a fundraising letter from Jill Biden referring to the DOJ decision not to prosecute Biden because of faulty memory, she says, “I hope you can imagine how it felt to read that attack – not just as Joe’s wife, but as Beau’s mother.”  News flash: Jill Biden is NOT Beau’s mother.  His mother was Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia Hunter Biden.  Why would Jill Biden send out this blatant lie?  Does truth matter anymore?

It’s election season.  A political lie will go around the world instantly, while the truth awaits to cross the finish line with a turtle.

Even here in Canada, we should have our leaders like Trudeau take a cognitive test. He’s crazy with power and is destroying our beloved Canada.

Gen. Satterfield, good blog today. So, thank you for that. I believe anyone who is in a critical position to lead should have some kind of mental fitness examination on some regular basis. I’m not surprised our military doesn’t require them but perhaps that is a good idea. Maybe we could weed out some of the bad actors that way. Oh well. 🤷‍♂️ It won’t happen.

Gen. Satterfield, thanks for your long-standing and superb blog on leadership. I’m a long time reader and fan of your site. Articles like this one on “Do generals and admirals take cognitive tests?”, I can see what you are getting at. Pres Joe Biden should have a cognitive test and American citizens should be able to see the results. But there is more here. The White House surgeon should be the one who gives out the info but in this case, he is hiding Biden’s obvious impairment to us citizens. Why? He is compromised and clearly corrupt. Our medical establishment has been given its due notice by the American people after the COVID lies. we no longer can trust medical professionals to tell the truth and in this instance we don’t trust the WH medical staff.

Great analysis Max and it is shocking that Joe Biden refuses and it is clear that he was advised to never take one of these tests.

If I was Joe Biden, I’d step down for obvious reasons. But he and especially his wife are narcissists and will forever refuse. That is why we have the 25th amendment to our constitution. Joe Biden, we no longer trust you are running the government. Please step down now before you create a horrible problem for us and the world. But, of course, you cannot see it. I’m an American patriot but Joe Biden is a Chinese patriot.

What was the former president. The man who caused serious damages to the capital building and personal because he lost to he stays was a loser. What does that make him by losing. A loser. Let’s stop making excuses for both current and former president.

Great info, thank you Gen. Satterfield. Yes, all senior leaders should take annual cognitive tests.

Correct, Doc, well said. Common sense should rule here. Just like airline pilots who must show their proficiency and there is an age limit.
