Happy Henry, the Donkey

By | March 13, 2024

[March 13, 2024]  Today, I’ll highlight a memorable and happy event I found on social media (link here, 45 seconds) @FurryTails.  The video begins with the owner of a donkey named Henry being called by her.  “Hi, Henry!”  Then you hear the donkey baying in the distance as the donkey comes running to her.

Humans and other animals are social creatures.  This is something we must never forget.  Every animal needs other animals, and that need is both biologically determined and socially supported.  Whenever we move away from that social condition, things go haywire.  That is why we see so much crime in our world, always have, and typically, that is a result of some social disorder (or a rare brain injury).

On a similar note, my doggie Bella had her ninth birthday yesterday.  She is still a beautiful Yellow Labrador Retriever.  See the video below to see her the very day we brought her  home for the first time.

Thank you for reading a positive message today.

The story of a Happy Donkey named Henry. What could possibly go wrong with that story? Nothing. Thank you, Gen. Satterfield for the short 45 sec vid. It makes me almost want to get a donkey, not really but I can think about it. I have a dog, a good boy, a Dachshund puppy who is the cutest and I can’t wait for him to grow up and be part of the household fully and a protector too.

Henry the happy donkey. What a beautiful story of a donkey that has a close attachment to his owner. I watched the video in the link three times. It made my heart warm. Gen. Satterfield, I was not sure these are the sort of blog posts that I would find in a leadership website but, hey, I do appreciate it. A little break from the hard work to make ourselves better people is okay. I too love dogs and have a German Shephard and love him too. He is a protector, a companion, and a crutch for me when I’m down on the world. Thank you sir and please also continue your letters to your granddaughter.

Got that right Julia. What a wonderful dog. If you had to pick a dog, I think it would be a Labrador Retriever.

I agree with you IS. This is what helps make our own lives better and fuller. Fuller? I’m not sure that is a word but I think everyone knows what I mean. Congrats on her 9 birthday and I pray for many more. 🐾

Congratulations for her 9th birthday. I’m sure that your dog Bella will be a wonderful companion for many years to come. Good luck with her health and he good nature, as labs tend to have. I’m sure Bella is good with your kids and grandkids too. They are the best dogs that way. Oh, love the video of her as a puppy.

Happy belated birthday Bella. Enjoy your day eating your cake 🎂. My friend Gen Douglas love the article on social animals. We can learn alot from animal channels. I love how social bonding kept them alive. Humans social bonding is critical to our success in society.
