RK Rowling:  Arrest?

By | April 5, 2024

[April 5, 2024]  You know who she is.  Joanne Rowling – better known as JK Rowling – is the famous British author who wrote the Harry Potter series.  She is articulate, brilliant, bold, rich, and brutally tells the truth.  For some time now, she has been embroiled in the latest transgender craze because she is publically appalled by the “trans” nonsense and is not afraid to say so.  Will Scottish authorities arrest her for calling out the truth?

Recently, she was warned that her comments could be illegal under new laws in Scotland, where she lives.

“JK Rowling has challenged Scotland’s new hate crime law in a series of social media posts – inviting police to arrest her if they believe she has committed an offence.” – James Cook and Paul Hastie, BBC

RK Rowling has taken to social media, like X, calling trans women men.  She said “freedom of speech and believe” was at an end if telling the truth about biological sex is outlawed.  And that offense could get her arrested.  Fearlessly, she is defiant and has invited the Scottish authorities to arrest her.

“The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act took effect on Easter Monday, creating a new offence of stirring up hatred against protected characteristics including age, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation and transgender identity.”

The Scottish government seemed unclear about who would enforce the new law and what it actually meant.  But RK Rowling was undeterred.

She wrote that “Scottish lawmakers seem to have placed higher value on the feelings of men performing their idea of femaleness however misogynistically or opportunistically, than on the rights and freedoms of actual women and girls.” – JK Rowling, X

Scottish Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said people should not be criminalized for stating “simple facts on biology.”  But that was a lie.  First Minister Humza Yousaf said it was designed to deal with what he called a “rising tide of hatred” in society.  The maximum penalty under the new act in Scotland is a jail sentence of seven years.  I hope to see how the Scottish government gets out of this mess.

Will RK Rowling be arrested?  I doubt it.  But it would be a spectacle that I would pay to see.

RK Rowling is my kind of woman. Gen. Satterfield spells it out that RK Rowling is “articulate, brilliant, bold, rich, and brutally tells the truth. ” Telling the truth is the main point and Gen. S. is all over it. See his article “The Pursuit of Truth?” https://www.theleadermaker.com/the-pursuit-of-truth/ In the article Gen. S. addresses the issue and why it is so important to pursue the truth, no matter what the consequences may be. This is why he calls that pursuit an “adventure.”

Lana, I agree, and this is part of what Gen. S. wrote:
“In advanced education today, at the collegiate level, truth is no longer the goal of faculty and administrators who profess to value science, history, or the humanities but seek to unify homogeneity and reject any thought that diverges from their ideology. Truth is not the point. Social justice is the goal, and you cannot have both. The struggle has always been maintaining culture, the part that molds and protects us. But also, since culture is prone to corruption and stagnation, we must constantly work to improve upon it, and creative people are at the forefront of this effort.” – Gen. Doug Satterfield. Go to the article and read it for yourself. And you will agree, IMHO, that Gen. S. nails it.

You are right on point. The truth nothing but the truth. It’s a crying shame for higher officials passing laws to silence the truth .Jesus commands us to respond to and with the truth.

Bryan, Right!!!! In a series of posts on X, Rowling referred to several prominent trans women as men. Misgendering could be an offense under the new law, in some circumstances.

Gen. Satterfield, love the quote from JK Rowling. Thanks for highlighting it for us.

Nice article today. I too can see that not just the Scottish/English folks have cowards in their governments but that this is all coming to a head. When JK Rowling stands up for freedom of expression, now we have a predicament that will not be so easily fixed. I have no idea if she will be arrested or not. But what I do like is that she is willing to stand firm and speak the truth and do so very loudly and in public. That is why the Scottish government is scared to do anything about it. This is why they tried to pass this law in silence so no one would know. Now we are here. I’ll be sitting back with my popcorn to watch the outcome and the outcome is going to embarrass the government.

IF the Scottish government arrests her for refusing to say that a man who pretends to be a woman is a woman – telling the truth in public – then we now see how far the radical progressive thinking has fallen into hell. It will be a long time before Scotland comes full circle and shakes off this evil that they have become, and even didn’t see it happening.

I say they will arrest her and put her on home arrest. Then make the “sentence” short. that is their way out and still pander to the radicals.

Interesting! Maybe you’re right Desert Cactus. Thanks. Seems like the Scottish people are in a predicament right now and they don’t want to do anything. Seems like their govt just wanted to “pander” to the radical leftists so the radicals don’t protest at their homes and work places. But you can’t serve two masters.

U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has backed J.K. Rowling after the “Harry Potter” author spoke out against Scotland’s new hate crime act, daring the police to arrest her for misgendering trans women.
