Valentine’s Day

By | February 14, 2014

[February 14, 2014]  Happy Valentine’s Day to all the lovers.

Valentine’s Day, also known as Saint Valentine’s Day and the Feast of Saint Valentine, was first associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.  In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines“).

A major ice and snow storm is making this year’s Valentine’s Day difficult to celebrate.  Even if you are long distance from those you love, take to time to call or send a special note to that special person.

Yes, from 2023, and many years later, we should all value our family and our Valentines.
