Winter Storm Jonas in New York City

By | January 23, 2016

[January 23, 2016]  Leadership actually means something in New York.  Winter Storm Jonas traveled up the East Coast dumping almost two feet of snow in some areas.  As far as storms go this one is relatively mild in the Big Apple.  Why?

We had plenty of warning from the weather services and ample time to prepare.  New York City, as well as other communities, had learned their lessons from past mistakes.  Our NYC mayor, who punished political enemies last year by restricting snowplows from those neighborhoods, learned that was a bad idea.

The storm is not yet over and the reports not in on how well the street cleaning went but it looks like this storm’s problem could have been worse.  Unless, of course, you live in Washington D.C.
