[September 29, 2026] I’m a sucker for a good news dog story. There’s a connection with this one. It involves a man going through an airport checkpoint line when a TSA German Shepherd unexpectedly jumps a barrier to get to him.
My first thought was that the Shepherd was going to attack the man, but I was wrong. It turns out that the former military working dog recognized the man as his former trainer. The dog couldn’t contain his excitement and ran to be with the man. Their embrace was heartwarming.

I just read the story about the German Shepherd who jumped the TSA line, and it made my whole body wiggle with joy. Satterfield. 🐾 Sir, you sure know how to give us all a smile in the morning, before we head off to our daily duties. 🐾 As you may remember, I’ve had many great dogs in my lifetime and they have all been the most wonderful of companions. 🐾 You’ve written about dogs before, and I find each of them to be comforting to me and my wife. 🐾 Anytime you want to write another one, please do, and also consider the old dogs in your writings as well, for they are the most often overlooked and undervalued. 🐾
