A Message for Young Adults

By | January 26, 2022

[January 26, 2022]  For those young adults interested in making themselves a better person, getting fulfillment from life, or making a difference in the world, today is the right time for you.

You are beginning your journey into adulthood; congratulations.  The fact that you are reading this article is testimony to your desire to be better than you can be.  That’s right, better than you think you can be.

To be better means, you must become a leader of others.  That is my message to you, and never, ever forget it.

All of us can be a leader; regardless of how smart we are, how good-looking, how muscular, or how popular we are.  Looking back across human history, the most extraordinary people were not beautiful, strong, smart, or lucky; none of these things.  They were successful because they were the most motivated.

Only by being a leader can you take action to live well and support your family, community, and … yes, the world.  I wish you well for those who reject the idea that we can make the world a better place; this message is not for you.

Understanding how leadership can work for our good is a massive task.  However, it is not insurmountable.  Even the most immature child can recognize leadership and adjust their behavior to mimic it and adjust his behavior.

And, there is a reason that a child (or adult) will follow.  We are naturally attracted to those that show promise, demonstrate spirit, or act like they know what they are doing.  You don’t have to be someone in a high-paying job to be a leader.  Being a leader is all about having personal traits based on time-tested principles.

We can take many simple actions every day to make ourselves better.  Taking those actions to the next level will make others sit up and take notice.

Young men will find what I have to say most useful.  However, this message is not about young men only but about all people regardless of background, age, status, or current circumstances.

The essence of striving to obtain leadership qualities is a worthy subject in the classic sense.  It is worthy because this is how to begin your journey of good, however long it may be.

I will soon begin a Young Leaders series.

Today, you begin to learn the secrets of success, those ideas and skills that I learned much later in life.  I am sharing them with you now.

Will young folks pay attention? I think not. And, too bad for those living in an ideological bubble.

Gen. Satterfield, there are many of us who are suggesting that you consider writing a book for teenagers, or at least targeted to young adults. Like this article which would be a great setup intro for it. Just me thinking a little here for you. I think it has value.

Yes, welcome Melo. The more folks here bouncing ideas off the forum walls, the better we are all for it. Consensus is not the name of the game but learning what others think and if you can put together some thoughts that have some merit.

Once again, Gen. Satterfield nailed it. Thanks. Too many young adults are “behind the power curve” on their socialization and leadership skills. Many reasons for this making of our young people weaker because tyrants know that a weak populace means they can do more and more to stay in power and crush the average man. It works. Look at the 20th century to see what communism and fascism has done. That experiment is over and those ideologies are evil in the extremes.

I was thinking the same thing. Good for us all. Simple actions, every day, will make a huge difference at the end of the day.

Great advice and messaging for the zero-strength young adults. Too many have been cuddled all their lives. They are told they are the best thing in the world of horrific racism, sexism, etc. They are told they only can SAVE THE WORLD. What a bunch of hogwash. These young folks are weak mentally and most also weak physically. And, on top of that they are cowards.

Why not? Because, perhaps, they are too busy with their smart phones and not getting smart themselves. Go figure!

Even if they did, they would think they are being patronized and ignore what Gen. Satterfield has written for them. Forgive me but I’m a bit pessimistic about the socialist-loving little brains of those in college who would rather run away than do anything hard.

        — and their professors give them good grades from fear of being “reported” for triggering their tiny egos.

Ha Ha… I don’t see the college snowflakes making any progress as long as we have a federal govt interested in protecting them even more. That is why the Democrat Party wants to protect them, because this is a self fulling prophecy.
