A Message from Minnesota Mothers

[May 11, 2021]  You will always find pockets of leadership, sometimes in the least likely places, but where it is sorely needed.  On Mother’s Day this past Sunday, a paid advertisement in the Star Tribune appeared that addressed a serious problem.  Mothers of black children who live in the state of Minnesota are fed up with a Public Schools system that has failed their families.

These mothers have had enough.  Taken directly from the advertisement, here is what it says:

“For many of you, it is a Happy Mothers’ Day, but for us, it is not – because our children are being held in bondage.  It is the bondage in Minneapolis Public Schools that, for five consecutive years, rank at the bottom of the country in test scores and graduation rates for students of color.  Black children from Mississippi rank higher than Minnesota.” – TakeCharge at www.takechargemn.com

As noted in an article from PowerLineBlog, this advertisement is hard-hitting.1  John Hinderaker, a Minnesotan, also notes that not only are Minnesota black children scoring worse than students in Mississippi but “Mississippi’s [black student] scores are getting better, while Minnesota’s are getting worse.”

Where does the fault for the failure to properly educate our children, especially those of color?  Many point to the political power of teacher unions that exert their influence to stop school alternatives like school choice.

We see the same here in my state of New Jersey, where the teachers union exercised their political power to stop any effort to educate our students in the classroom during the pandemic.  Yet – at the same time – had teachers prioritized obtaining COVID vaccinations ahead of the elderly.

Black parents in Minnesota have taken notice.  They are stepping up and saying “no” to the political corruption in their state.  Will they manage to change what is a failed system?  I don’t know, but I do wish them well.  Perhaps the Black Lives Matter movement will help by acting as though they mean it.

Thanks Gen. Satterfield. I enjoyed watching these mothers on YouTube (altho I’m not a fan of fascist youtube). I try to watch everything on other venues. Anyway, the website for these mothers is also great.

Well said, this is why I’m a regular reader as are my friends. They just don’t like to post comments. I have found this site allows me a better understanding of the issues of the day. Good day!

This is great. Finally, we are seeing a backlash against the stupid “racist” blame game.

You gotta read this in https://takechargemn.com/
We acknowledge that racist people exist in the country, but explicitly reject the notion that the United States of America is a racist country. This is a subtle, but significant difference!

Finally someone stepping up to challenge the Marxists who have been encouraged by the likes of President Biden.

People who care about their families don’t allow them to attend the public schools that are shifting from promoting bad unamerican ideas, to racism, to child abuse.

Let’s support them any way we can. Otherwise these moms will have their lives destroyed by the PC police.

Much more to it. Every encouraging, “We also denounce the idea that the country is guilty of systemic racism, white privilege and abhor the concept of identity politics and the promotion of victimhood in minority communities. “

Hard to imagine that this is even a topic of conversation. We have let our political elites take away our responsibility and outsource it to a bunch of deep swampers. We failed ourselves. Good to see that some mothers are taking back their responsibilities as parents.

The BLM movement is a farce. It’s fake, it’s mission is to destroy the black family in total. The black family has been attacked repeatedly and the US govt has won. But, and this is a small but significant but, many blacks are now stepping forward. I think Pres Trump said it best, “what do you have to lose?”

Well said, once again Max. And IMHO, more mothers are coming forward after they realize that telling the truth and taking personal responsibility is the only way to succeed for themselves and their children. Remember that black fathers also are part of this movement, as well.

I’m not so sure teachers unions are the culprits here. Yes, they are part of the problem, no doubt. They aggravate the problem of poor schools by adding to the political corruption we see in our states and in the federal government. We see greater influence within the Biden/Harris Whitehouse and how that continues to corrupt and destroy good educational systems locally and regionally. There is nothing worse than the fed govt getting involved at the local levels … and the state govts of many states like Minnesota and New Jersey are WORSE off because of it.

Let’s see some leaders step forward like we are seeing in Minnesota.

Teachers unions ARE the problem. No doubt about it. Just look at the many states where teacher unions are the most powerful, they have the worst school records. It is a causal action, not just correlated.

Great message. I’m glad people are beginning to see thru the Marxist design of “woke” culture and the fascist BLM/antifa movements and see them for what they are.

Too many will always be blind. Until folks step forward – yep, as a hero to us – nothing will change. We are starting to see it in the most unlikely places.

Well said Randy. I too thought we here in the US were a racist country but over time, I’ve come to realize much to my shock that I have been fed a big lie by power-grubbing politicains and political activitist who only have power on their minds and care nothing about us.
