[July 15, 2026] The slogan that “All Cultures Are Equal” is anti-truth. Such an idea is not merely false; it is a deliberate inversion of reality—worse than an ordinary lie. Most Westerners instinctively recognize it as false, observing that cultures produce dramatically different outcomes in prosperity, freedom, human rights, safety, and innovation.
Regular readers of this site know that I rarely comment on non-Western cultures. There is usually little value in doing so, and it often distracts from more constructive discussions on leadership, stoicism, and personal responsibility. But today I will make an exception. Below is a short video from an X (Twitter) account showing a train traveling somewhere in the Congo, complete with narration. I recommend watching it because it offers a stark, unfiltered contrast between that culture in Africa and the everyday reality of the West (which is not shown). We know what we see with our own eyes.
Asmongold (Zach Hoyt, born 1990) is a highly popular streamer and YouTuber known for his no-holds-barred political and cultural commentary. In a post from three days ago on his account, he described the scene as “shocking poverty, like a nuclear bomb hit, or front-seat view of a garbage dump.” He expressed genuine surprise that the train did not derail. The video itself is brief—only about 50 seconds long—yet his closing remark captures it perfectly: “This is awful.”

Your X reference doesn’t seem to be working. But I get your point. The whole idea that all cultures are equal is a crazy idea, and so obviously untrue that it is indeed the “anti-truth.”

This link to x works okay, so try that. The video begins with the train’s horn blaring and going straight down the tracks and you can see all the garbage and shanty houses right next to the traintracks. Good stuff if you want to get run over by a train (like some of the random chickens who were just running around the area). Gen. Satterfield is traveling back to write about how bad leadership can shape the way we live and, not this case, prosper. No surprise to me that the West prospered under capitalism while the rest of the world remained in the Stone Age. I know from personal experience.
🇺🇸 I agree Qassim, America is the best place to be. 🇺🇸
