Can We Learn from Jimmy Kimmel’s Hatred?

By | April 28, 2026

[April 28, 2026]  One of my hard lessons learned from so many years in the Army was that upholding basic decency was crucial to success.  Now we are witnessing what happens when good judgment fails and decency is thrown out the window.  ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel’s failure to learn this lesson about hatred has led to his own destruction.

The so-called comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s hatred of conservatives, generally, and of President Trump, specifically, has trashed any decency he might once have possessed. Anyone who has watched his filth over the past few years understands.

On Kimmel’s program the day before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, he did a routine about the dinner that included this unfunny monologue mocking Melania Trump:

Rightly, the First Lady was not amused.  Remember, this was her husband’s third assassination attempt he survived:

Jimmy Kimmel has provided a semi-apology.  The “man” is a dumbass:

Of course, Kimmel called it “that widow joke” and later called it “comedy.”  What I don’t see is where the joke is.  Where is it?  Is describing Melania Trump as an “expectant widow” a joke?  What does that even mean?  Actually, Jimmy Kimmel is mocking the Trumps to his ever-shrinking audience, and he’s doing a bad job of it.  His actions were no joke.

As John Hinderaker of PowerLineBlog says, “Kimmel, like others in show business, hides behind the premise that he is a comedian.”  But there is nothing funny about what he says, except that a few poor souls in his audience might laugh at the assassination of an American president.  Hinderaker believes Kimmel’s “only purpose was to normalize the idea of chuckling at Trump’s death.”

Melania Trump called on ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel. President Trump followed up, saying the same. Yes, ABC should fire Kimmel immediately. He has soiled the reputations of ABC and comedians and, sadly, has also added to the image of the Ugly American.

Liberals won’t learn from it because they believe exactly as he does. They see violence as perfectly acceptable and actually preferable because it leds to their ends more quickly. Maybe they should think before they open their mouth without engaging their brains. But, hey, that might just be asking too much of them to think.

      Hi Vinny:
Crazy is crazy and putting more lipstick on crazy doesn’t make it not crazy.
