Dem “Illegal Orders” Ad Violates American Principle

By | November 23, 2025

[November 23, 2025]  The Democrat ad reminding our military not to obey “illegal orders” violates a basic governing principle.  That principle is we do not bring our military into political squabbles.  For that reason, it is an ugly and dangerous move by Dems.

Clearly, the ad was intended to create controversy, and draw attention away from the fact that President Trump is embarrassing Democrats with his achievements.  They still cannot answer the question how to successfully react to Trump’s domestic and foreign policy advances. They are surely asking themselves, “What to do?”  This ad is one answer.  The ad was successful, so expect more like it.

Several days ago, this past Tuesday, six “moderate” Democrats put out a political ad saying that members of the U.S. Armed Forces and Intelligence agencies have a duty to disobey illegal orders.  Those in the ad appear serious and thoughtful to emphasize their point that President Trump is “out of control.”

The ad begins with this:

“This administration is pitting our uniformed members and intelligence community professionals against American citizens.” – Democrat Ad

While this ad is addressed to our military (and intelligence agencies), the real audience are voters.

So, why did the ad get such kickback from the American public?  The violation of this governing principle is certainly one reason.  Another is the implication that President Trump is, or will sometime in the future, issue illegal orders.  This is an accusation frequently charged via judicial means since Trump’s first day in office.

This strategy has not worked out well for the Dems.  We could argue that the judicial route, despite being obstructionist and slowing Trump down, has not stopped him.  There are many who say that the Supreme Court rulings have made the Presidency of Trump even stronger.

Another reason for the kickback to the ad was that it is seen as encouraging our military to disobey orders of the President.  This certainly got the attention of many.  Doing so is called “sedition” and is punishable by up to the death penalty.  Initially, the media largely ignored the ad but when Trump suggested these six Democrats might have to face the death penalty, that got everyone’s attention.

Does the ad meet the definition of sedition?  On its face, the answer is no.  Those who designed the ad certainly looked closely at the words used, and nowhere in it do they say directly to disobey the President.  If they had, it certainly would be seditious.  And, the President and his administration know this.

President Trump is answering a controversial political ad with what he does best, bareknuckle politics.  He is going to politically hammer these six Dems and the Democrat Party as hard as he can to scare them and his political foes.  I do think he was somewhat successful in that goal.  The ad did backfire because of Trump.

Perhaps the Democrats will be a bit more careful about dragging our military and intelligence agencies into the middle of a political fight where they don’t belong.  But, I doubt it.

NOTE: Members of America’s military are taught from the beginning of their service that they have a legal and moral obligation to disobey illegal orders. And, they are given a number of examples to emphasize the point.  They are educated and reminded of this often.

I agree and sickening. Now the Seditious Six are going on tv shows and backtracking saying they only wanted to remind the soldiers about not disobeying illegal orders. Yeah right, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell to you too. These elected politicians can’t let their TDS rest because Pres Trump is hammering them good and hard and making them look like the fools and tools they are. Traitors? Yes! And they will now have to live with that. The Seditious Six. Repeat that over and over. Their names will forever be associated with it. Betrayal of America may be an “in thing” today but just wait, they will get their payback with America holding them in disdained forever. This is what I’m teaching my HS students and even they get it.

You just cannot hate these leftist Democrats more than you already do after pulling this partisan stunt. And they are taken aback by the fact that they actually received pushback, they are appalled that someone might actually disagree with them and call them traitors. Well, I’ll also call them traitors. Why don’t they give up their military pensions? Oh, they aren’t that dedicated. How cowardly ….. and traitorous.

Our politicians are DISGUSTING and that is only what I’ll say publicly because I don’t want this site to get downgraded by peering eyes of the mass media. But it is really really disgusting what these traitors have done.

I’ve known a long long time now that Democrats are more obstructionists than those who can be counted on to make America a better country.

Where are we now? Where were these democrats when Biden ordered Blanket denials of religious exemption requests for the covid shot? Military law require a personalized review of all such requests but all requests were denied with the same boiler plate wording. Every single officer, and civilian, in the chain of command is guilty of executing an unlawful order. But as always, democrats are guilty of what they accuse republicans of doing.

Double standards are the norm with them. Remember for Dems, its all about power and screw any American who gets in the way of that goal.

The one-minute video, posted by Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., and viewed more than 1.6 million times, features six lawmakers invoking their prior service while telling members of the military and intelligence community that “the threats to our Constitution are coming from right here at home.” Slotkin and her colleagues have spent recent weeks introducing legislation to limit President Trump’s ability to deploy National Guard members domestically or launch military action against narcoterrorists without congressional approval. None of that context appears in the video, titled “Don’t Give Up the Ship,” which instead frames the appeal as a warning to military members to “stand up for our laws” and “refuse unlawful orders.”

Thanks Gen. Satterfield for your input. I do think most of us are beginning to hate the Democrat Party more and more. We see their ways, and their ways are not the American Way.

Don’t be at all surprised. The Dems’ party has been on the losing side of what Americans want for a long time. This ad is dirty. But for a Dem, that is standard procedure. Anything that gains them power is considered okay. They want power, even if it means destroying America. This idiot Arizona congressman Kelly is just that, a nitwit.

There is no surprise here. The last thing any one who votes Dem wants is accountability. 🤢

🇺🇸 “ Elected Democrats just released a video encouraging members of the military to commit treason and defy orders from Trump and Hegseth,” wrote the conservative account Libs of TikTok. I love that guy on Libs of TikTok. 🇺🇸. He’s a real American.
