Don’t Join the U.S. Military

By | December 1, 2022

[December 1, 2022]  I’ve struggled with advertising my complete disgust with the U.S. military’s “woke” ideology until now. My advice for those who are considering joining, don’t.

I spent 40 years of my life in the U.S. Army and met some of America’s best. I would do it all over again but not today.

Our military is lead by those who do not have the best interests of our nation in their hearts. They actively act to denounce our traditional values and the principles upon which America was founded and that stood as a beacon of freedom unparalleled in the history of the world.

Thousands of potential recruits are rejecting the new woke ideology (which our leaders vehemently deny) by finding other, less satisfying employment and by getting out of the military. This is a travesty in several ways, not least of which means a serious reduction in combat readiness.

Don’t join the U.S. military.

Author: Douglas R. Satterfield

Hello. I provide one article every day. My writings are influenced by great thinkers such as Friedrich Nietzsche, Karl Jung, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Jean Piaget, Erich Neumann, and Jordan Peterson, whose insight and brilliance have gotten millions worldwide to think about improving ourselves. Thank you for reading my blog.

I know it must have been very difficult to make this decision to advice young people to avoid the US military. I do appreciate the courage to do so. I will also advice those that I know to avoid service as well. We can disagree with Gen. Satterfield’s advice but his reasoning remains sound.

We need to send a clear signal to the work and political generals and admirals that what they are doing is unacceptable. One day soon, their careers are going to be terminated. I hope they are tried for treason and jailed.

I know enough of Gen. Doug Satterfield to know this was a hard decision to finally go public and send a clear message to the woke military brass that what they are doing is destroying our military and making America much weaker. What the woke brass are doing is treason and they should be tried for their crimes.

Gen. Satterfield, I hear you loud and clear. Many are saying the same about our British Army.

Now this is indeed a good article and I can see Gen. Satterfield’s argument clearly but it is also sad that he has to write this when we are such a point that our military is weakest. Weak, yes, because of horrible leadership from the White House and down thru the senior ranks. Sad, it is and sad it will be until we get rid of the “wokeness” that has been allowed to infect us.

I concur, don’t join the US military but also tell folks WHY you are not joining. Why join an organization that is full of racists like the SECDEF Lloyd Austin III? Why? He is a racist thru and thru.

Patriotism does not mean we are stupid like so many whacko progressive, neo-marxist, basement dwelling dweebs think.

General Satterfield thank you for not being afraid to speak your mind. One, I might add, I admire!
Read his books folks. They are worth every penny.

I know that writing your recommendation was very difficult for Gen. Satterfield (after having his entire adult life dedicated to the US Army). Don’t join the US military is just another nail into the coffin that “woke” ideology has taken us. Recruiting numbers have fallen dramatically. Who wants to join an organization that calls you toxic? Not me. First step to stop this is to get rid of Secretary of defense Lloyd Austin, a quota hire himself.

      — and then throw out on his butt, GEN Mark Milley, a true woke idiot who only cares about his career and proved it by throwing our soldiers under the buss to prove his woke bonifides to Pres Biden (the worst president in US history)

“ I’ve struggled with advertising my complete disgust with the U.S. military’s “woke” ideology until now. My advice for those who are considering joining, don’t.”. A sad day to get 5his recommendation from Gen. Satterfield, of course, right. Don’t believe me, just talk to some NCOs who will tell you the truth about how so many senior officers abandoned their oath at the alter of wokeness and neo-Marxism.

Well, this came as a tad surprise to me that a 40-year vet would recommend young people not join the U.S. military. It is a sad day for mr as I read this short, pointed article. I hope, sir, you change your mind. Will it be changed when we rid ourselves of this destructive ideology? Or when the woke political flag officers are forcefully retired permanently?

Ayn, as a veteran myself and a contemporary observer myself, I understand the many senior officers today who no longer recommend military service. Our current political generals can no longer be trusted. I have no confidence in their ability to lead.

Hard to argue that our military under Joe Biden is in decline —— and for many reasons, mostly due to cowardly morally woke leaders.

But, still an unexpected piece of advice coming from general Satterfield. I love this guy and would follow him anywhere. This? I don’t know for sure.

Now more than a shock but a reasoning that I did not expect from Gen. Satterfield. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 I’m one of those who believe in supporting our nation thru thick and thin. Now is a bad time in America with a destructive President and a nonexistent VP. Nothing I would like more than try to counter Gen. S here but I cannot. Gen. S. Keep up what your doing and God Bless. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Excellent points , American Girl. No one would believe what we do here and how much we support Gen. Satterfield and his newest book, “55 rules for a good life”. Keep your thoughts in the forefront.

You have to see far ahead and understand more about 5he responsibilities of people to even try to get in the head of Gen. Satterfield. He is saying that our sacrifices by joining the U.S. military is insufficient to sustain us over time whenever the military no longer supports our values and rejects our values. ✔️

It is very hard to change one’s mind once made up to be part of something greater than yourself. There are only a few other such professions where you gain immediate prestige and honor. Thank you Gen. Satterfield for your strong and convincing opinion. 😎

Eagle Eye, I’m with you and others that we need to send a strong signal to the woke generals and admirals that we won’t put up with their antics. Resign now woke leaders or feel the wrath of the American people. ❤️
