France Proposes to Destroy Tourism

By | October 3, 2023

[October 3, 2023]  France proposes crushing the world’s economy (and their own), one stupid idea at a time.  Emmanuel Macron’s government is actively trying to reduce carbon emissions, which they are doing in peculiar ways.  France is looking to restrict air travel within their country and for everyone radically.  Maybe France hasn’t figured it out yet, but tourism is one of their mainstays for economic health.  Essentially, they are saying they are willing to destroy tourism and their economy in search of an unattainable climate change goal.

We are told that 41 percent of French surveyed support the proposal from Jean-Marc Jancovici to ban people from taking more than four airplane trips during their lifetime.  A Danish climate expert, Bjørn Lomborg, said the survey demonstrated “how crazy climate alarmism has” become (link here).  He’s right, of course, as anyone with a brain can see it, but when climate ideology takes hold, there is no way of convincing the newly converted there might be another viewpoint.

I, for one, support the ban on flights for all French citizens.  Maybe we can keep their military out of Africa and corrosive meddling with their old Empire subjects.  But the French can’t seem to keep their straightjacket off long enough to do something positive for the world.  At least not in this case.

Support the ban on the French from flying on airlines.

Gen. Satterfield and all readers, as most of you know, I’ve been commenting in this space for a couple of years and have gained an appreciation for the feedback on my ideas. This has helped me form myself into a bit of an eccentric. But an American Patriot “eccentric” and that is, IMHO, a great thing to be. This idea the French are floating in the EU is ignorant and they should be embarrassed to even say they are thinking of it. Throwing crap and hoping it sticks to the wall is not a good SOP way of business.

Thank you, Gen. Satterfield, you made my day. But I’m also thinking most Americans will think the same way.

Gen. Satterfield, you are making me laugh too much. But I say this, not as an insult, but if you are looking to get laughs off of us by showing the utter stupidity of politicians, then its like shooting fish in a barrel, just too easy. How about the US military wokeness? Oh, yes, same, shooting more fish in a barrel.

When will they raise the white flag of surrender on their own?

A Frenchman with a white flag is like a belly full of raw nuts. They result you will not like and others will remember it for a long long time. Keep the faith, Gen. Satterfield, excellent analysis and I appreciate greatly your commentary.
