Iran Crossing the Red Line

By | January 15, 2026

[January 15, 2026] Iran appears to have crossed President Trump’s “red line” by killing scores of protesters. What exactly that means is unclear at the moment, but I would not want to be the Iranian Ayatollah or any of the mullahs.

From what little news is escaping the country, we’re hearing credible reports that thousands have been killed by this regime. The numbers could be over 12,000 dead, including many hanged for their “crimes.”

So, what is the world doing about it? Not much, apparently. Who is supporting ordinary citizens of Iran? Are the “No Kings” protestors protesting? Are the feminists out burning their bras? Are there any Leftists standing with the Iranians? And where are the pink pussy hats? Well, it looks like the answer is NO. They’re all absent.

Iran Crossing the Red Line

Eve Barlow has a piece on X stating that the UN has not held a single hearing on the massacre, despite being asked to do so, and unsurprisingly, Iran holds a seat on the UN’s Human Rights committee. This is par for the increasingly useless UN.

To put things in a more informed way, Eve Barlow’s Blacklisted post “Public hangings” provides relevant information for us to ponder. And Peter Theroux asks: “Is this time different for Iran?”, an excellent Tablet column.

Most Americans hold a much-deserved grudge against the mullahs and their security apparatus since the American Embassy in Tehran was taken over by their revolutionary forces, and then our diplomats were held hostage for 444 days.

The mullahs may recall President Obama’s days, when he laid down another red line. It was empty threats followed by C-130 transport planes bringing in tons of gold and pallets of cash. They might want to rethink what President Trump means when he declares a red line.

There is a lesson here. It is one that should never be forgotten. Weak leadership has consequences, and those consequences can haunt us for many long years. We are discovering more problems from Obama’s time in office. This is where he could have helped ordinary citizens of Iran but chose to make a lot of noise and cave, like any coward would do. And people still love him. God bless the ignorant.

The unanswered question at this point is, “Do the Iranian people have the will and International support to overthrow the mullahs?”

Folks, take a good read on Gen. Satterfield’s article “An Overproduction of Comfortable Do-Gooders”

”Banfield’s prediction about the increased danger of high-class meddling, although upon first glance his most absurd, is by far his most prescient. Banfield noted that increasing education and income caused people to pay less attention to their own ills, but to have “increased feelings of guilt at ‘social failures’ and more outrage at a ‘guilty society.’” – Judge Glock

It’s always the white, fat, ugly, stupid, immature cat ladies who are creating the most problems. Here in an article with the Jewish News Syndicate, we are seeing more clarity about the fundamental values of the anti-Western agitators. And, you can’t hate Joe Biden and Barack Obama enough.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, wondered aloud, about halfway through his opening statement on Thursday to an executive business meeting of the Senate panel, why anti-Israel protesters didn’t appear to care about Iranians risking their lives to demand freedom.

“Since Iran’s in the news again, I’d like to highlight some of my oversight from last year,” he said. “First of all, where are all of the Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel protesters?”

“You’d think they’d be out here supporting the people of Iran against the repressive regime,” he added. “But they’re nowhere to be seen.”

Grassley tied the point to a critique of the Obama-era approach to Iran.

I continue to pray for the good peoples of Iran. I hope that they can overthrow this horrible demonic government imposed on them. I know that the radical Leftists of America and the west hate this, but hey, they just proved they are the enemy of free peoples everywhere.

UPDATE: There is growing discussion that Iran’s regime may have used chemical agents against protesters, after footage showed security forces in Sabzevar wearing protective gear linked to chemical exposure. One protester said: “More than a week after being hit by tear gas at the Niavaran protests, my body still hasn’t returned to normal. My blood pressure and heart rate remain high, with stomach pain, headaches, and dizziness. A doctor at the Niavaran clinic said many patients have similar symptoms that appeared to have been caused by chemical substances fired under the name of tear gas.”

UPDATE: Now estimates say over 30,000 citizens of Iran killed by security forces. This would be the single largest massacre since this theocracy took over in 1979.

UPDATE: There are no flotillas on the way to save Iran. No Soros-funded “democracy” groups pressuring Western governments to intervene on behalf of civilians who are being arrested and murdered. No astroturfing movement demanding economic boycotts.

I agree, leftists who are only interested in their baby Marxism, will ignore real oppression of a people … and they ignore it because they are not really interested in the people but in virtue signaling their “goodness.” Actually they show their embrace of evil. So satisfying to point that out to them and watch their heads explode. Sir, please continue to keep us informed on the situation in Iran, but we most want your take on it. Your opinion matters. And we all love that you are standing on the side of those who want to overthrow an Islamic theocracy that is destroying their nation and enslaving their citizens. Great poster, BTW.

Well said, Willie. I haven’t seen you on in a few weeks. I hope you are okay. Good point about the “baby Marxism.” That’s right!!!! I’m going to steal your idea and also start calling them what they are … Marxists in Democratic Socialism clothing.

The failure of Leftists to support “free Iran” shows that the entire “free Palestine” movement was a scam.

Let’s be clear, and I think Gen. Satterfield is correct, the Leftists who love to protest (do they do anything else?) are not supporting the new Iranian rebellion against an Islamic evil regime that kills their citizens in the thousands. Real suppression here instead of the fake suppression that clueless white old liberal woman love to rage about in their pink hats. I loved this piece by Gen. Satterfield because he calls them out for they hypocrisy and inability to learn from history (or, even know anything about it at all). What we see in this new revolution is that freedom is a desire that is inherent in mankind, and little will get in its way. It may take time, but it will come out. I stand with the Persian Lions seeking their freedom.

Love ❤️ the poster. Reminds me of Pres Obama poster, but in this case the Iranian poster is of freedom. Obama’s poster is of weakness.

Nothing like a kick in the ass to make you stand up and take notice. The Ayatollah is in for a bit of a missile surprise so he best hide his ass before it becomes inflamed with some high explosives. At least his end – which he is very worried about and rightly so – will be quick. He’ll also find out that there are no virgins at the other end, but maybe he might meet some of our American Virginians who helped free America from British long ago. SMH.

Whereas Iran humiliated us in 1979 with the embassy seizure, we humiliated Iran last year with the strikes on its nuclear sites that made the regime’s painful, decades-long effort to get a nuke seem a costly misadventure.

“As much as the 1979 revolution was a debacle to the West, a favorable 2026 revolution would be a boon — to the Iranians, and to us and our allies.” – X: @RichLowry. Opinion found in NYPost today. Good man that Rich Lowry.
