News Media: A Positive Update

By | May 25, 2014

[May 25, 2014] I’ve written a number of times proposing that the news media in America is in decline; its leadership more interested in aligning with certain political views than the news and a disinterested in exposing corruption, hypocrisy, and scandal – its traditional mission.

There is a glimmer of hope. There are journalists who are willing to step-up and work at exposing corruption in the political arena. There will be a downside to those who do. The traditional media is known to attack any “upstarts” who are willing to cross their paths.

One of these new media journalists has started an organization called Project Veritas1. Regardless of our political leanings, it is always entertaining and satisfying to see hypocrites exposed.

The latest feature2 exposes “Hollywood celebrities” accepting funding from “Middle Eastern oil interests” (actually actors) to produce an anti-fracking film. The video that is produced by Project Veritas is a great example of how journalists do those things that make them so valuable to our society.
