[December 5, 2025] Where is this nation headed? When the Democrat Party uses the force of law to target their political opponents who are helping pregnant women? That’s the state of New Jersey when a lawyer for NJ’s Attorney General’s office subpoenaed First Choice, a pro-life group that assists women with their pregnancies and discourages abortion. And, yes, being a resident of this state makes me disgusted to hear of this abuse of power.
New Jersey is overlooked because it is small, but this lawsuit against the state will determine how states across the nation can crush non-profits that don’t align with their radical ideologies. The Democrat Party that controls NJ just elected another Leftist as governor and immediately the state is implementing an increase in the gasoline tax and sales tax. This is more money to pay off the teachers union that keeps them in power.
SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas forced a lawyer representing the New Jersey AG’s office to admit that the state went after First Choice to force them to hand over their donor list. In a New York Post article, dated December 1, the lawyer admitted that the AG’s actions amounted to a “fishing expedition” against a pro-life organization without receiving specific complaints about the group, or any wrongdoing.
Legal representatives of the NJ AG’s office claimed that the demand was merely an “administrative” subpoena, not a Grand Jury subpoena, and courts across the country have held that these administrative subpoenas themselves don’t impose any obligation to produce documents.
Justice Thomas nearly laughed in their faces. Any subpoena will have a chilling effect if there is a threat that the state will gain donors’ names, addresses, employer information, and potentially contact their employers asking about that donor. The argument from First Choice is that such action by the state of NJ is a violation of the First Amendment rights of their organization and donors.
What we see here, is the use of legal state powers to intimidate organizations they oppose politically, mostly Christian-based like First Choice, and to punish them. Such action is similar to the IRS under Obama and Biden who audited any organization that was believed to be Conservative or Christian, or denied them outright to be a non-profit.
New Jersey has been allowed to slip under the radar for decades, as the little sister of New York state. While New York takes the heat, including lawsuits, NJ has been able to slow-walk their prosecution of small entities that differ from the Democrat governor’s Leftist policies. The newly elected governor promises to continue this harassment.
Radicals are taking over NJ. And the citizens voted for it.

It is sickening to know this happens in America. Yet, if you talk to these same politicians, they will claim that they are “doing good”. Sick? Yep, in the head. They don’t realize what freedom is about. And they don’t know how to properly led folks to be the best they can be. They pander to those who want free handouts, and ignore those who just want to be left alone.
Mainer, you got that right. That is why Gen. Satterfield has called this a “liberal mind virus.” They are infected by a Leftist, neo-Marxist ideology (which they deny but is obvious they are infected) which distorts their mind and twists their values into something unrecognizable by American standards. Sad that so many states are like this in America. And look at them financially. They are going into debt and people are voting with their feet and leaving those states and moving to red states.
With Leftists in charge in so many places, we are about to get examples of failures good and hard.

Good analysis sir, when you note that NJ has been slipping under the radar for doing exactly like NY is doing, like putting Covid infected people into Veteran Care homes. The Governor of NJ killed thousands of veterans in the homes and yet no one has said a peep. The man is EVIL for that and he will burn in hell.
Gen. Satterfield nails it with this quote, “Radicals are taking over NJ. And the citizens voted for it.” And to think that the so-called “smart people” voted for the Democrat (with a proven lack of honesty) boggles my mind. Well, I guess that it’s going to take some bad times for the state to eventually realize that socialism only works as long as you don’t run out of taxpayer funds. Maybe they should look across the river at what’s happening in New York City to see what mayor-elect Mamdani is going to do to them. All are about taxing more. Taxes are a control mechanism, and a punishment to those who actually work. And then they give that money to those who want free stuff. Well, let’s see how that is working, let’s just say Venezuela, North Korea, China, Russia, Cuba, etc. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, i know you are thinking they are communists and they are, but there is little difference anymore. Time to move out of these horrible states where they are only interested in raising taxes without any attempt to lower spending. Their “compassion” kills.

First to post! NJ is a scum state. Thank God I don’t live there. Democrats continue to raise taxes and grift off the taxpayer.
… and that MO is not going to change. Now that the grifters have voted in another Leftist tool, one with very little integrity, and promoted based on DEI policies that rewards anyone but white men, the state is about to find out that this decision is going to cost them dearly. If you live in NJ, get out now, while you can still sell your home for a good price. Just don’t move down here to Texas.
