Police Week 2026 … Never Forget

By | May 12, 2026

[May 12, 2026]  There is one memorial in Washington DC, which is constantly changing and evolving. That is the law-enforcement memorial.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied….” – Matthew 5:6

Each year new names are added of officers that have been lost in line of duty. Each year on May 13 tens of thousands gather for a candlelight vigil. And each year on May 15 law-enforcement Memorial day is observed.

Saturday and Sunday I had the privilege to pray with groups of bicycle riders from New Jersey to Washington. These men and women are committed to riding in remembrance of those who died and in support for their survivors. They are willing to raise money, train, and take on the grueling trip in any conditions so that we never forget.

As of today, 24775 names are on the wall; including 363 added this year alone.  Every one of those names represent a family devastated, a community rocked and a sacrifice made on our behalf.

Policing isn’t an easy profession, nor one to be taken lightly.  We entrust officers of many levels and disciplines to be our

protectors, our peacemakers, and our rescuers.

May God bless the memories of those 24775, their families-blood and blue, and all of us as we seek justice in these United States!

May God bless all who serve!

‘Never forget….’

Thank you, Pastor Strugala, for this powerful reminder of sacrifice. Police Week 2026 honors the 24,775 fallen officers. Their families endure lasting pain. We must support those who protect us daily. The candlelight vigil unites thousands in remembrance. Never forget their service and courage. Justice demands we value law enforcement. God bless all who serve and their blue family. May we hunger for justice as Matthew teaches. 🙏 Also, special thanks to General Satterfield for his continuing support also of our first responders.

Pastor Strugala, thank you sir for your support of our LEOs out in the field protecting us Americans against those who would do us harm. Blessings.
