[October 15, 2025] Dr. Jordan Peterson talks with Gad Saad about the scientific relationship between psychological traits and radical Leftist Progressivism. According to Dr. Peterson, since about 2016, psychologists have determined that there is such a thing as left-wing authoritarianism.
They define left-wing authoritarianism as a “web of ideas” that combines the Progressive ethos with the willingness to use fear and compulsion, and force to implement them. All the quotes below are from Dr. Jordan Peterson.
“We found the following predictors because we were curious as to whether this system of ideas exists or is it just a right-wing conspiracy delusion? And the answer is there’s clearly a set of statistically coherent left-wing ideas that are allied with the willingness to use compulsion and force. And we found four major predictors of the proclivity to have that idea set.
The first predictor, which was very high, was low verbal intelligence and left-wing authoritarianism together. This correlation was higher than expected, given academic performance.
“So, when you ask yourself how can people be daft enough to accept this relatively reductionistic and simple-minded view of the world, everything is about power. One of the answers to that is, well, they’re not very verbally sophisticated.”
The second best predictor was being female. The third best predictor was having a feminine temperament (especially in males) and independent of being female. And the fourth best predictor was having ever taken even one explicitly politically correct higher education course.
“Since then, other people have developed analogous models of left-wing authoritarianism and looked for other predictors. And one of the most interesting predictors that has emerged is that there is a very powerful relationship between the Dark Tetrad personality characteristics, including malignant narcissism and the proclivity to hold left-wing authoritarian views.
The relationship between malignant narcissism and left-wing authoritarianism is higher than Dr. Peterson’s correlation between low verbal intelligence and left-wing authoritarianism. The correlation is so high, according to Dr. Peterson, that one could make the case that they are not distinguishable on the measurement front.
“The Dark Tetrad personality types show subclinical characteristics of psychopaths. And psychopaths are predatory parasites. Imagine that there are two forms of parasitism going on. There’s the Darwinian competition between idea sets for memorability and communicability. But then there’s the proclivity for people who occupy the parasitical niche in the human ecosystem, and that would essentially be psychopaths, to utilize ideas like the parasitical set for their own parasitical purposes.”
Dr. Peterson believes this means that there is an “existential threat” (using his words) because parasitism is an unbelievably deep problem. There’s always been parasitical people, like criminals. The most parasitical of those are psychopaths, and we’ve evolved mechanisms to keep them under control, which involve incarceration or physical force. And he also says that none of these mechanisms work online.
“I think our entire culture is enabling the predatory psychopaths on the criminal front. And if you’re an online troll, you’re much more likely to show all the Dark Tetrad traits, narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopath, and to top it all off, sadism.”
Scary? Yep!

With these Leftist, ugly, fat, white, mixed-up women with very low verbal intelligence on the prowl to destroy the world, what could go wrong? Yet, they believe they are here to “save the world from fascism.” What do I see but white women easily manipulated by simple propaganda and a dose of compassion. And they deeply believe they are morally better than everyone else. Wow. Great dialogue. Appearance should not matter but in this case, perhaps it does. Are these fat women being rejected by men and other beautiful women? Is this the reason they turn crazy? With a society infatuated with beauty, perhaps so but, like Dr. Peterson, I think the issue runs deeper. It’s a built-in part of their psyche and little can be done, under the circumstances, to change their behavior. Well done, Gen. Satterfield in finding these intellectual discussions for us. Drs. Peterson and Gaad are two of my favorite intellectuals that know how to talk to ordinary folks. I’m happy that Gen. Satterfield has found their conversations.
