President Donald Trump: the Peacemaker

By | October 14, 2025

[October 14, 2025]  Eight peace deals in eight months.  I’m sure that’s a world record, untouched by anyone.  As I write this post at 9:00 PM Monday, October 13 (Columbus Day), we have seen the return of twenty hostages stolen from Israel over two years ago.  Who was responsible for making this peace deal happen?  It was President Donald J. Trump, whom we can now call the Peacemaker.

I have to admit that I didn’t think the Hamas terror group would hand over the hostages, despite being under the threat of annihilation from the IDF. Indeed, that was a significant factor in their decision-making, and who could blame them?  Perhaps it was the bigwigs in Hamas who nearly lost their lives in Qatar as they sit back in luxury, handing down decisions to their cannon fodder soldiers in Gaza.  Regardless, it worked and President Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu disservice the credit.

Over the next few days, there will be celebrations and extensive media coverage discussing the fine details of the Trump Peace Plan.  Many parts are yet to be finalized and might fail, but the priority mission of Israel has always been the return of all live hostages.  Secondary was the destruction of Hamas, and the latter may never be realized.  It matters little since they will simply reappear in another form and with another name.  The Hamas rebrand is already taking place, but their methods remain the same.

In Israel today, American flags are flying everywhere and especially in the crowds that are in the streets celebrating.  Others have noted that President Trump is loved and hailed as a hero.  Who is to second-guess the sentiment?  He is a hero in the eyes of the Israelis and perhaps for many who live under threat by Hamas in Gaza.  What we won’t see is Trump being celebrated by the pro-Palestinian protestors we’ve so often seen in the West.  Nor will we see these peaceniks going into Gaza to help the ordinary citizen.

As these hostages return, another, less celebratory event is unfolding.  Israel is releasing 2,000 Palestinian murders and terrorists from its prisons.  Who knows what monster will come back to haunt Israel from this group of evil characters?  This has been a pattern for decades now.  We can pray for these now-freed prisoners to change their lives and return to help Gaza rebuild, but don’t hold your breath.

President Trump’s remarks before the Israeli Knesset are exactly what the world needed to hear.  Indeed, after two dark years where terror reigned in the Middle East, we now have some peace, even if only temporary.

Wow, my pool bet said two weeks before Hamas violated the ceasefire.

Well, mainer, you got that right. And what many folks failed to recognize is that Pres Trump is not going to signal his strategy every single time. He is very transparent, but that doesn’t mean he will be telling America’s enemies – and there are plenty of them out there, like China – because that would give his advantage away for nothing. He is doing what we call in the military “preparation of the battlefield,” IE getting things ready to strike. He is great at that. The Democrats who oppose him are just out protesting “no Kings day” which only makes them look more foolish than they think they are.

Trump is a winner because he is good at heart and knows the difference in saintly and evil.

I could re-watch this speech again, if nothing else but for the speech techniques Trump uses.

Yusaf, that is one of the reasons I read this blog daily. You might just never know what you stumble upon each day; for there is a gift within each story that Gen. Satterfield writes for us. Come along and be part of a great achievement that America is about to embark upon. Despite the haters who wish to drag down America, they can no longer do it and that frustrates them to no end. That is why, IMHO, they are turning violent.

As much as the “Left” despises President Trump, they have to admit that he is running circles around them in terms of International and domestic accomplishments. I think this is why they are so frustrated. Their policy positions are just anti-Trump. If he is for it, they’re against it. But taht doesn’t work.

Nice summary. But let’s also look at what Democrats have to say (nothing much good), like Kamala Harris. What a clueless idiot she is. America dodged a nuclear bomb by not having her as president. The fact that she got so close is scary as hell and more. Dunces like her should never be close to the reins of power, even at the lowest levels in government. She earned nothing at all. No wonder that they call her bad names that are associated with prostitution (she is not a prostitute technically, but you get the idea). Sex for power. Wow. Just wow. And, I’m old enough to know better.

The more I listen to her talk (and it’s very hard to listen to her), the more I realize that she has some kind of mental problem. Many say she is an alcoholic but I’m not so sure. I can’t yet put my finger on her personality disorder but her brain is defective, and the fact that she uses her skin color and being a woman to get places where her experience and expertise cannot, says alot about her lack of good character.

It is hard not to understand that Hamas is the worst of the worst and that they will not negotiate in good faith. There is only one solution, and that is the brutal destruction of everyone who believes in their radical Islamic ideology.

I found a pertinent comment from Mt Geoff-Debbie, Aid is as fungible as money. Lots of aid went into Gaza throughout the war and some large part of that aid went to Hamas. Do you know how many innocent Palestinians had to die? Not one. All Hamas had to do was to not try to kill Israelis and Israeli would have let Hamas kill the innocent Palestinians as it is doing now.

As Israelis celebrated the return of their countrymen from Hamas captivity early Monday, the terror group stormed through the streets of Gaza executing Palestinians they claim collaborated with Israel, graphic videos circulating on social media show. Masked Hamas gunmen sporting the terror group’s signature green headband could be seen lining up bound men in the streets and executing them before cheering mobs just as the 20 living Israeli hostages came home as part of President Donald Trump’s peace plan. The terror group’s rampage suggests it is trying to preserve its rule over Gaza, rejecting the Trump agreement’s requirement that Hamas disarm and stand down.

And Trump gave a great speech before the Israeli Knesset. Can you imagine Obama or Biden giving such a speech and without their typical platitudes? Nope.

A great speech, a triumphant speech for all civilizations. But those who oppose him are backing 7th century terrorists who kill babies, old women, rape, and torture. Guess who’s on the wrong side of this? Leftists.

Hurray for the release of the hostages taken more than two years ago. It took Pres. Trump to seal the deal. He is a hero. But, le us not blind ourselves to the unfortunate fact that Hamas remains and will return with a vengeance. They hide today like the cowards they are. After stealing more aide money meant to help Gaza’s, they will rearm and start their killing again.
