[February 1, 2026] Ken LaCorte runs a social media platform where he “takes on controversial topics.” I like that about anyone who is also a likely brutal truth teller. LaCorte takes on the topic that has been in the news lately, why are liberal women so unhappy? It turns out that they really are. See the full video here.
LaCorte admits right up front, he didn’t believe it. He thought this idea of so many Liberal unhappy women was just a myth, at least until he delved into the topic. When he started looking into it, he found that study after study confirmed it.
He looked into the problem, to identify what was making these otherwise successful and highly educated women so unhappy. They are certainly more unhappy than any other cohort population. The reasons are, as he notes, very uncomfortable.
“Is it true?” This is the first and most important question. Nonpartisan studies clearly bear this out. Liberal women are far more likely to be unhappy, as measured on a number of psychological scales. He uses the General Social Survey which has been tracking happiness for over half a century.
Tracking happiness by ideology, Conservatives have a much greater overall happiness. In the 2024 American Family Survey, it found that 37% of Conservative women and 28% of moderate women, between the ages of 18-40, reported being “completely satisfied” with her lives. But only 12% of liberal women in the same age category.
The Pew Research Center asked women if a doctor had ever diagnosed them with a mental health condition. For ages 18-29, 56% of Liberal women said yes. For Conservative women, the number of 27%. This trend covered all ages and men as well.
This trend accelerated after 2010, just as social media became commonplace. Overall, the data tell a brutal story. If you’re a Liberal woman under 30, they consistently report lower happiness levels, higher rates of diagnosed mental health conditions, and more conditions of depression than any other demographic group in the country.
But Ken follows up with some logical questions. Is it actually being Liberal that makes these women unhappy? Or, are they just more prone to admit their troubles? How much of this is real, and how much of it is just in the reporting? Most of this data is based on self-reporting, and there is a bias inherent here. Ken discusses this in some detail, and makes the case that the bias is real and affects the results.
His conclusion is that it is difficult to say that Liberalism causes unhappiness, but cannot deny that Liberal women are vastly more likely to be unhappy and to have aggravated mental illness, compared to Conservative women. Fortunately, Ken goes deeper into the causes.
Looking at Liberal and Conservative women, he finds some trends that may explain why Liberal women are more unhappy.
- Marriage and Family: Whether someone is married is one of the strongest happiness predictors of social science research. And Conservatives are far more likely to be married. It’s not just marriage. Family life in general seems to play a role. Marriage includes emotional support, shared resources, and a sense of stability. In terms of happiness, it is clear that traditional family structures are linked to greater life satisfaction.
- Social Media: If we were to design something to wreck teen girls mental health, it would look like what we have today. A massive federal study showed that after 2010, depression scores for Liberal girls skyrocketed. And that is connected directly to smart phones and social media. It became a stage for constant comparison, moral posturing, and public self diagnosis.
- Political Climate: One major study showed that Liberal teen mental health tanked after the 2016 election, for more than for Conservative teens. It’s not a coincidence. If you believe the world is on fire, and that it’s your personal moral duty to fix it, you’re carrying a low-grade sense of doom. For many Liberal women, when your identity is rooted in a sense of crisis, you’re going to feel more anxious, more hopeless, and more exhausted.
- The LGBT Factor: According to Gallup, 38% of Liberal women under 30 identify as LGBT. For Conservative women, that number is just 5%. LGBT people across virtually every major study report higher rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.
- More Self-Analysis: There is a growing belief that therapy-culture may itself be part of the problem. If you have spent any time in progressive space, online or off, you know that self-analysis is a big thing; trauma unpacking, inner child work, attachment therapy, self-diagnosing, and constantly revisiting every bad thing that ever happened to you. Conservatives tend to focus on external goals like career, family, etc.
Ken says that none of this proves that being a Liberal causes unhappiness. Yet, when you add up less marriage, more social media, a catastrophizing worldview, and a lot of self-analysis, you can get a clear picture of why Liberal women on average, feel more stressed, anxious, and unhappy.
The “why” may not be firmly answered, but the observation that Liberal women are far less likely to be happy is a hard core fact.

Everyone claims to be exceptionally “smart.” And while they may be book-smart, they often lack common sense. This is a big part of why they are easily manipulated into doing foolish things, such as protesting against the enforcement of U.S. law. They fail to think things through. This is the way it has been since the beginning of time. And nothing is going to change this. There is no substitute for the family unit. Nothing at all. Many have tried different ways, they always fail. And the failure is catastrophic in its consequences.
Who would’ve known? Marriage and family gives us something of high value, and we certainly don’t want to lose it by doing something so risky and dumb. But these cat ladies have nothing. So, nothing to lose by getting arrested. Their lives are so pathetic.
I just like to think they show so many red flag warnings that it’s not even worth talking to them. They are bat shit crazy and I don’t care why. Plus, the are irreparably damaged, and nothing is going to fix them. Their future is as a lonely cat lady. Children will walk by their homes and point and say, “There lives a crazy lady. Stay away.”
When you’re voluntarily fat, ugly, stupid, and pro-Marxist, then I guess this makes you unhappy. What could go wrong?

So sad that they sacrifice their future on such whimsical reasons. Isn’t that part of the definition of being ‘crazy?’ I don’t know but I would not want any of them to live anywhere close to me, or be anywhere near me or my family. They are simply too dangerous to others and themselves to have any respect whatsoever. They are just “batshit” crazy. “Stupid is as stupid does.”
What Liberal women are doing runs completely counter to their biology and upbringing. They are behaving against the grain. And they will fail in what they do. That is inevitable. So sad for the. They are ruining their lives and by the time they figure it out, even if they do, they will realize they have destroyed themselves and others in the process. That is a tremendous burden to face in your older self.

Avoid these women if at all possible. Do not talk to them. Talk to them is “violence,” which it is not. Gen. Satterfield addressed the idea that speech was created just as a way of avoiding violence, or as a substitute. I think he is right. More speech, done with respect and keeping our emotions under control is the answer. Not less speech or creating “hate speech” laws like the leftists and Democrat Parties like to do. It shows their arguments are without merit, and that is why they need to shutdown other speech. They inherently know what they are doing is sinful.
I prefer to say they are just crazy.
Yep, take the simpler path. Liberal women exude red flags; green hair, nose piercings, tattoos, nasty attitudes, little emotional control, dirty, and often violent. They have let their own compassion for others take a dark and twisted turn toward evil … and yet, they cannot see what they are doing. Their have learned through social media that they are to be seen as some kind of hero for what they do. Standing against the “patriarchy” is seen as being a hero. Of course, they are wrong. And yet, they also have no ability for self reflection.
Boy Sue, well said. And unfortunately, true. Liberal women are the kind of women that men should distance themselves from because they will 100% of the time regret being around them. These women are ideologically driven. Liberalism/Progressivism/Marxism/etc. is all they know. That is their religion and nothing we can do to dissuade them from it. I only hope that they figure things out on their own, but logic is not their strength. In fact, I’ve heard many of them say that logic is “white privilege.” Crazy, i know. At this point, all I can do is pray for their souls. For they are truly lost. 🙏
