[June 11, 2025] The question many are asking today is whether we will see real leadership from President Trump as he takes action on the Los Angeles riots (peaceful protests according to the legacy media) against ICE raids. The question before us is simple. Can Donald Trump provide the national leadership that both distinguishes between violence (which should be stopped) and protests (legal in our federalist system)? Both are mixed, as those committing violence take advantage of the sea of legal protests to protect themselves.
Where we see actual failed leadership is coming from LA Mayor Bass and CA Governor Gavin Newsom, who both support the riots. Others have rightly noted that it has become fashionable for the entire Democrat Party and their Leftist media supporters to support violence, as long as the violence supports their cause. Their cause is simple: take down President Trump. The agenda of the Democrat Party at this point is nothing more than anti-Trump; what he wants, they stand against.
“As a result, the Democrats have no moral standing. They are moored in no man’s land, owning Biden’s invasion and the violent masked agitators waving any flag but America’s. They own the arson and looting, and attacks on police and federal agents. They own the funding mechanisms for the rent-a-riots that are traced back to their donors and their corrupt donations platform, ACT Blue.”
Others have noticed this question and noted that President Trump has deployed both the National Guard and U.S. Marines.

They are to serve the modest purpose of quelling riots and protecting law enforcement from the mobs that seek to trash the place while hurling rocks and waving the flag of Mexico. The rioters burning the American flag might give you the idea that, although they resist deportation, they’re not fond of the United States. Things are not what they seem. Governor Newsome, on the other hand, is putting himself in a position where he will never be considered a national leader. He does have presidential aspirations, but will he act in the best interests of America?
Newsome has been presented with a golden opportunity to create an iconic “Sister Souljah” moment and burnish his moderate “credentials” and street cred by supporting a law enforcement response and by condemning the criminal insurrectionists. Instead, he has reverted to typical and reflexive Democrat coddling, whitewashing, lionizing, and enabling of lawless and subversive thugs and criminals and their violent predations.
President Trump has an uncanny ability to show strong leadership under stress. This is an observation of his entire career, not just looking at his time as president. Let’s hope he can get LA under control and re-establish the rule of law.

Now that is a question that is actually a good one. So far, things look pretty good for Pres. Trump. Why? His approval rating has skyrocketed. His popularity is going up. The vast majority of citizens in America support deportation of illegal aliens (no, they are not “undocumented”). The list goes on. Inflation is down. Crime is down. Protests are up by Democrats and illegal aliens (and this will sputter out this coming week). All signs are pointing up. This protest/violence spike is already coming to an end.

Well, looking back over the last several days, we can see that Trump is exercising his powers authorized by his office. Now, that has really upset the Democrats and their lapdog media – no surprise there – and so, their spare still violence inside the “peaceful” protests that aren’t at all peaceful. Let’s see how this upcoming weekend works out. What is really real,y bad at this time is that we see politicians giving their approval for violence and blaming the police and ICE for the violence. Go figure.

If I didn’t “SEND IN THE TROOPS” to Los Angeles the last three nights, that once beautiful and great City would be burning to the ground right now, much like 25,000 houses burned to the ground in L.A. due to an incompetent Governor and Mayor – Incidentally, the much more difficult, time consuming, and stringent FEDERAL PERMITTING PROCESS is virtually complete on these houses, while the easy and simple City and State Permits are disastrously bungled up and WAY BEHIND SCHEDULE! They are a total mess, and will be for a long time. People want to rebuild their houses. Call your incompetent Governor and Mayor, the Federal permitting is DONE!!! —- President Donald Trump.

True, but Newsom knows that the radical Leftists of his base won’t go for him moderating his position, even if they all know it’s for show. Newsome is just as radical as they are and should never hold an elected position. As far as Mayor KAREN Bass, she was elected because of her sexual orientation and that says all you need to know about their idiotic voters.

Great question, Gen. Satterfield. We are beginning to see the answer today on whether Trump’s first real test of his leadership will make the grade. And you’re right, he always seems to pull it out.
I do think we see this. Pres. Trump is using a multi-level approach. He has the FBI and DOJ doing their part (Govt), the military both state of CA NG and US Marines (Military), withholding money from CA (economic), and political pressure in the form of various media outlets (diplomatic). And he himself is going out publicly to condemn the violence and the Democrats who support the violence like CA Gov Gavin Newsom and LA mayor Karen Bass. And now I see Trump’s approval rating increasing.
