[April 30, 2023] How America cares for its military veterans and their physical and mental health tells us much about the moral standing of America itself. President Lincoln said it best, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Administration is the institution we fund to carry out that moral need. Unfortunately, today, we see the VA regressing to old tactics that deny timely and effective care.
“With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.” – President Abraham Lincoln
The VA Secretary Denis McDonough (who removed Lincoln’s quote from all VA buildings) has made moves to reduce access to care enshrined into U.S. law. He testified last year before Congress that the community care budget was growing and concluded, “My hunch is that we should change access standards.” Unsurprisingly, he acted to limit community care by reducing it in the budget.
“Beyond legislation, Congress should hold VA leadership accountable for their blatant disregard of veterans’ wellbeing and the law. Congress has the power to punish VA leadership until the VA MISSION Act is followed as intended.” – Darin Selnick, an opinion contributor to The Hill
VA Sec Denis McDonough is no friend of military veterans. And worse, he is actively working to reduce their care. This scandal has massive negative consequences that our most vulnerable veterans will experience.

The woke VA won’t be stopped until Pres Biden is no longer in office and all the woksters are removed from govt.
If you are surprised by this, don’t be. Gen. Satterfield warned us. Pray for our veterans, they need all the help from us common American citizens that is possible. Woke ideology is after them and the VA is infected with woke.
