[June 23, 2026] ANNOUNCEMENT: I’m happy to announce, for the first time here on my website, that there will be a highly popular, three-day event honoring the 250th anniversary of the USA in late September this year. The group making this all happen consciously chose a date well after the 4th of July so as not to conflict with local township events throughout our area.
- WHO: The 1776 Freedom USA 250th Anniversary committee
- WHAT: Conducts a three-day celebration of our nation’s birthday
- WHEN: 18-20 September (Fri-Sun) 2026
- WHERE: Veterans’ Park, Egg Harbor Twp (Atlantic County) NJ
- WHY: To honor America, the light on the hill for the world to see
I’m asking all my readers to help us get the word out. Here are some of the words you can use to describe this event: SPECTACULAR, ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME, FAMILY FOCUSED, and HOMETOWN FEEL. We intentionally want to make this enjoyable for the families who will attend.
The highlights on Saturday, the main day of the celebrations, begin with a huge parade at 9 AM and continue until dark with a large fireworks display at 7:30 PM. That’s one long day, but we capture everyone’s attention with military bands, singers, kids’ arts, Ben Franklin, King George III, folks dressed in colonial-period outfits, Revolutionary War re-enactors, food vendors, and local first responders to entertain and keep us safe.
