[March 26, 2026] Good news protecting free speech from the U.S. government. The Biden administration’s push to silence Americans just got slammed shut for good. Democrat politicians, at all levels, have pushed hard for prohibitions on free speech. Thankfully, times are changing.
On Tuesday, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill locked in a consent decree that stops federal agencies from bullying social media companies into censoring free speech. The deal binds the surgeon general, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency for the next ten years. No more threats. No more backroom deals to kill stories the government hated.
“It was absolutely Orwellian,” Murrill told reporters. “The federal government is enormously powerful and they leveraged that power to threaten something that these companies hold very dear—which is their Section 230 immunity—and that threat was enough to essentially have these companies make themselves agents of the federal government.”
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway put it even sharper: “The Biden censorship regime was something straight out of Orwell’s 1984. Missouri is proud to have led the most consequential fight for free speech in a generation.”
During the COVID panic, the 2020 election, and the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, Biden’s crew pressured Big Tech to hide true stories that made them look bad. They could not censor speech themselves under the First Amendment, so they leaned on Facebook, Twitter, and the rest to do it for them. The states sued in 2022, won a judge’s order in 2023, and kept fighting even after the Supreme Court tossed the first injunction on standing grounds.
Now the consent decree makes it official: the Federal Government cannot threaten punishment to force platforms to delete, suppress, or bury protected posts. Murrill called it “historic” and “extraordinarily unusual.”
Unlike a president’s executive order that a future White House could erase with one pen stroke, this court-approved deal sticks. Breaking it means more lawsuits.
This is real protection for everyday Americans who just want to speak their minds online. The Biden years proved how far a government will go to control the story. Thanks to two tough Republican attorneys general, that road is now blocked for a decade. Free speech just got a fighting chance.
Many of us have understood for years that the Biden Administration was undermining our Constitutional rights. Justice was done in this case.

Biden’s team tried to play Big Brother by bullying social media into silencing critics. That Hunter Biden laptop story? Buried like it never happened. COVID questions got squashed too, leaving Americans in the dark. Orwell would be proud of such sneaky government overreach. Now a ten-year consent decree locks them out of the game. Biden’s leadership looks more like a failed power grab every day. Free speech won this round, no thanks to Joe Biden’s White House. The “speech police” are out of business, at least for a while. Straight talk: Biden’s crew trampled rights while pretending to protect us. What a sad chapter in American history. And that is why he is forever EVIL.
Biden needs to take all his corruption money, drugs, and classified papers and get lost somewhere where we don’t have to watch him or hear him anymore. For those who still support him, you need to get a brain.

The Biden Administration caused massive inflation that hurt working families every day. Open borders let in millions of illegal immigrants and criminals without proper checks. The chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal left Americans and allies stranded and abandoned. Billions wasted on green energy deals enriched cronies while energy prices soared. Free speech got censored on social media with government pressure. Crime spiked in cities due to soft-on-crime policies pushed from the top. Hunter Biden scandals showed favoritism and corruption at the highest levels. The economy slowed as regulations killed jobs and small businesses. Overall these evils weakened America and divided the nation badly. Sir, thanks for giving me the space to rant.
I only pray this was true in all the world. But dictators do dictator things.
More excellent news that Democrats are not being allowed to stop free speech. Apparantly nobody told them that free speech is not just for them.

They used threats to take away special legal protections so companies would do what the government wanted. The article says this happened during COVID, the 2020 election, and the Hunter Biden laptop story. Louisiana’s Attorney General sued and won a big court agreement. Now the government cannot pressure companies to censor speech for the next ten years. The writer calls it an Orwellian mess and says it’s a real win for free speech. I agree that no one should let the government control what people can say online. This consent decree feels like an important step to protect our rights. It shows that courts can still push back when leaders go too far. But, what will happen in 10 years?

The majority of Americans never saw the evil in Biden’s policies, those policies that ran counter to both our values as good Americans and against the US Constitution. Too bad Biden was so braindead that he didn’t even realize how horrible he and his followers were.
Indeed! Our population has grown richer and more comfortable but dumber at the same time. So shameful that we no longer educate our young people but insist they get indoctrinated into WOKE ideologies. As a former teacher, I’m appalled. Let’s all get ahold of our educational system to make it great again.
