Clearing the Spindle: Election 2024

By | October 4, 2022

[October 4, 2022]  The American mid-term election is only a month away, and my cell phone is already filling up with text messages, emails, and phone call messages.  But 2024 is not that far away either.  Some things are predictable, like Hillary Clinton wants to run again in 2024 for President.  So does Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Donald Trump.  Who will stand out?  Who will run?  We will not see an announcement until after the mid-terms.  That’s when things in the political world get exciting.  Here are a few things about the 2024 election that may or may not surprise you.  Today, I’m clearing my spindle of miscellaneous Election 2024 “stuff.”

Hillary Clinton is preparing for another presidential run in 2024.  I don’t know if Dick Morris is correct, but it brings up what strategy Hillary would use, given that she twice ran and was twice defeated.  Morris, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, said Hillary is setting herself up to enter the race as a “moderate” choice for Democrats in two years for her third shot at the White House.  She is putting herself out there as the savior of her party from the extreme left-wingers who have lost on every major issue they undertook.  Years ago, when Hillary Clinton was running for President, I wrote Why is Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Faltering?  The answer was a lack of trustworthiness then.  And that has not changed.  She will never be elected President of the United States.

The world believes U.S. President Joe Biden is mentally incapable of doing his job.  According to Miranda Devine, an N.Y. Post opinion writer, she says that whether he has dementia at this point is immaterial; half the world thinks he does and that weakens the United States and imperils us all.  Biden projects weakness and folly at the same time of international turmoil, making the world much more dangerous.  Most Americans believe Biden is not capable of doing his job.  She says that it’s “criminal that the Democrat Party has placed America in such an invidious position with an emotionally febrile part-time president who appears not to be all there an awful lot – either in his mind or at the White House.”  Ouch, that sure stings.  And sometimes, that is what reality does to you.  The Democrats and Biden are telling us he will run again in 2024; maybe he will.

During a DMZ tour of North and South Korea, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said, “The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea.  “It is an alliance that is strong and enduring.”  This was just another gaff, but one of great importance since North Korea is a hermit kingdom built on the personality of the Kim family.  North Korea is the most insular communist nation ever; they possess WMD and are dangerous.  How could she screw this up?  Meanwhile, North Korea marked her visit by firing ballistic missiles four times a week.  Michael Goodwin noted that such a response from her helped cut short mockery over the White House’s Dumb & Dumber act.  Kamala Harris is only a heartbeat away from being the President of the U.S. and is expected to run in 2024.

Is Donald J. Trump the comeback kid for 2024?  Former President Trump strongly indicated he was preparing to run again for president and suggested an announcement would come soon.  “It’s certainly not a very long period; the time is coming,” said the former president.  “I think people are going to be very happy; our country has never been in a position like this; we’ve lost everything.”  Trump said that America was facing both domestic and foreign policy crises and pointed to the policy disasters of the Biden administration.  Will he run again?  I don’t think so.  This is my prediction, and I’m nearly always wrong in predicting political decisions.

Gen. Satterfield, would you consider making this “clearing the spindle” a regular feature of your blog? I know that many of us would love to see it.

Running for a political office is not easy; requiring enormous energy, time, and expense. It is all consuming. That is part of the reason we see Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Donald Trump all unofficially running. Joe Biden will not run (at least no one sane would vote for him). I would love to see the debates against those three. Rond DeSantis – FL governor – might run if Donald Trump does not. Let’s hope those two don’t get into a contest against one another. That would be bad.

True enough Mr. John22. While that may be true, there are those who will, nevertheless run for this very powerful position. I would hope people vote for the best candidate and NOT the one who promises the most handouts.

Bryan, that will never happen. Too many people are just too plain stupid to vote for the best candidate.

Gen. Satterfield said, …. Trump said that America was facing both domestic and foreign policy crises and pointed to the policy disasters of the Biden administration. Will he run again? I don’t think so. This is my prediction, and I’m nearly always wrong in predicting political decisions. … Let’s see if this prediction holds.

The problem with VP Harris making another verbal blunder (and that is all it was) is that everybody is listening. And they see that she is a nincompoop and will make decisions based upon her folly and the fact that America “elected” her and a dementia fool. Meaning that we are too a bunch of nincompoops. That’s what America has become.

Got that right, Danny Boy. Ha Ha …. we are among the few who are willing to put our ideas out there for feedback. fortunately, the folks here are good thinkers and polite, to boot. I’m a fan of Gen. Satterfield and his website.
