[January 7, 2026] Leftists simply do not respect American laws. Further, they have a visceral hatred of President Trump and an animosity to those federal agencies that work directly for him. They also don’t recognize this administration as our legitimate government. This explains why a Twin Cities Hampton Inn by Hilton Hotel canceled reservations for ICE employees this past Monday.
John Hinderaker of PowerLineBlog rhetorically asks whether “they think they can operate with impunity as a kind of shadow government?” The answer should be obvious. They deeply believe that acting against Donald Trump is a moral imperative, even if it means losing money and getting into hot water legally.

As expected, the backlash to Hilton Hotels was fierce and immediate. Commonsense made its case after the X post above by Homeland Security. Hilton corporate disavowed its participation in the matter, stating that this action was antithetical to its values. It appears that the local franchise took unilateral action based on the owner’s political views; a decision they will regret.
At this point, as both the owners and managers of the hotel, there is no excuse for what they did and they can’t blame the management company since they’re the ones who run it. They violated Hilton Hotel policy and Hilton should disassociate with them.

For the decision makers at this hotel, they should have the courage to stand up and be seen, and defend their actions. Otherwise, they are the cowards that leftists are and hiding behind others for protection. Leftists and Democrats need to reassess their values, because acting out of emotional immaturity doesn’t work well in the medium to long term (you can’t play with my toys).
Clearly, this act was a terrible blunder and the blowback is going to hurt the Hilton Hotel brand. Let’s hope they learned something from the Bud Light, Gillette Razor, and Jaguar woke branding fiascos of the recent past. Besides being cowards, they are also mentally ill. Nobody can be that dumb. Well, looks like I’m wrong on that last observation.

If the Indian owners of the Hilton hotel that cancelled rooms on DHS are present in the US on visas, they should be summarily deported. Even if they are NATURALIZED CITIZENS, howeverr, they should be DENATURALIZED, stripped of their US citizenship, and THEN summarily deported. When America grants a foreign national the precious gift of US citizenship its is with the expectation that the person will not act contrary to the interests of the democratically elected government of our nation. Denying DHS lodging SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE ENFORCING AMERICA’S DEMOCRATICALLY CREATED LAWS is a violation of that obligation.

UPDATE: Hilton removed the Hampton Inn sign yesterday. That is true. But there are rumors circulating that other Hilton Inn hotels are refusing to allow DHS or ICE into their hotels. I think it’s about time to Bud Light the Hilton chain. Eye wash doesn’t work for me.

Some folks will say that it is unfair to punish Hilton or other Hampton Inns for the evil transgressions by one. I disagree 100% with that sentiment. Hilton Inns have already severed their relationship. Other Hamptons will now have to do the same or be painted with the same anti-American brush. Indians! Time for the boycott to begin on Hampton Inn. My wife already siad she is never staying in a Hampton Inn. Cancelled her reservations for next month (she travels for work). Other Hampton Inn owners better step up damn quick or they will be sucked into the void.
Locally where I live there are also a number of Indian owned gas stations. I’ll not be going to spend my money there either.
