Silence of the Jews

By | January 18, 2024

[January 18, 2024]  This is a difficult article to write.  Why?  Well-known Jews in America – some that I know personally – have failed to comment on Hamas’s October 7th massacre of innocent Jews.  These are smart, honorable, outspoken Jews who have never held their tongue on controversial social issues.  But now, the silence of these Jews is deafening.

I got the title of my blog today from a Jewish website, Ynet News.com (link here to the article).  The article by Ifat Manhardt has the subhead:

“Despite these stars’ long-standing pride in their Jewish identity and vocal support for Israel, a puzzling question arises: why have they chosen to maintain a resounding silence or refrain from publishing significant messages since October 7?” – Ynet News

Whenever Evil raises its ugly head, good people need to stand together to oppose it.  Those like Barbara Streisand (one of my favorite singers) have been silent.  Others include Goldie Hawn and her famous daughter Kate Hudson have publicly failed to comment on the horrific events.  Some are coming around.  Steven Spielberg, for example, broke his silence a few days ago after more than two months.  Adam Sandler is another who claims to be a Jew, but it seems only to suit him on good days.

There are, however, some American Jews who have stepped forward.  Deborah Messing, Juliana Margulies, Amy Schumer, Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander (aka George Costanza), and many more are lending their voice to the slaughter of innocent Israelis.

What is staggering to me is that the massacre was so brutal that anything other than a complete condemnation is in order.  Does fear bring on their silence?  Perhaps.  But running from Evil only makes Evil stronger and more likely to follow you to your grave.  Evil will never leave you alone.

In The Jerusalem Post author Gil Troy writes a letter that supports my view.  His letter is titled “Center Field: The new Jews of silence (link here).  It’s a worthwhile read.  His question to these Jews?  “Where are you?”

I often hear the words, “What can I do?  I’m not a Jew.”  For those who fail to recognize the significance of the Evil of Hamas, you need a moral reckoning.  See my article “Breaking: Israel Under Attack” from October 7, 2023.

On another note, famous American Christians have also failed to denounce the targeting of Christians in the Middle East, Africa, China, Canada, and America.  Is it cowardice?  It is more than cowardice; it is also a moral ruin that infects many in Hollywood and throughout the West.

Shocking? No. Surprising? No. Too many famous and popular folks are just cowards at heart.

We all know this to me true but too many lazy stupid young socialist-loving adults will never change their mind until they are mugged by reality. stupid is as stupid does, as Forrest Gump would say.

Gen. Satterfield, you just wrote about what I’ve been telling my friends for a couple of months now. Where are the American Jews? Are they again leaving this to the American Christians to defend them?

The Kid, the answer is sadly, “yes.” American Jews are just too comfortable in their big homes and big cars to bother themselves with anything outside their cozy lifestyle. Barbara Streisand and those like her are convenient Jews, not real Jews in any real sense. The claim to be a Jew, but when they are called to stand up in the face of evil, they slither away. Read the Bible, snakes do not do well and are symbols of the devil and evil in all its forms.

…. and American Jews are often to afraid of conflict. They only want their comfortable home, wife, and synagogue.

Even if American Jews, those who are famous and those who just want to have a good life here in America do NOT support Israel and fail to speak up, I will stand with Israel and their peoples. As a Christian it is my moral duty to do so, but I have enough character to know the difference in right and wrong. And, those like Barbara Streisand and ilk like her who are willing to take from America but not stand with us when our ally is being attacked is sickening. I stand with Israel.

The cowardice of the Jews here in America like Barbara Streisand is appalling …. there is not excuse whatsoever for them remaining on the sidelines while this is happening. This is exactly what many Jews did during the Holocaust and where did that lead? Yeah, we all know. 🤷‍♂️

Great comparison, Bryan. Thanks. Face your fears. And that is where you will find what you are looking for. But too many American Jews have it easy and are unwilling to speak out publically. So sad. Now, it’s up to the Christians to once again take on the Evils in the world while the Jews stand silent in America.

As Gen. Satterfield has noted in this post today, there are many who are standing up.

Gen. Satterfield is spot on with this assessment. Others see it too. In fact, if you dont’ see their cowardice, then you are hiding under a rock. What these silent Jews are thinking is beyond me, but as per Gen. Satterfield being even handed, he also points out that Christians are NOT speaking up about the attacks on Christianity worldwide. America is becoming more and more a nation of scardy cats — Cowards are everywhere.

Europe is preparing for Russian President Vladimir Putin to expand his country’s war in Ukraine and attack NATO ally countries next year, leaked documents published in German newspaper BILD reveal. According to the outlet — which obtained the classified military information from the German Ministry of Defense — the country’s armed forces are gearing up for a “hybrid” Russian attack in Eastern Europe. The newspaper detailed how multiple potential alarming scenarios could unfold in the months ahead.

from that article. I’m not so sure the Germans aren’t finally getting their manhood back.

Gen. Satterfield, excellent article. “Silence of the Jews.” What will they say one day when this is all over.?
They will say “We did all we could do.” And they will then also be liars.

As it should be. Cowardice leads to the spread of evil in all of its manifestations. And that is what allowed Hamas to grow and then attack Israel. Too many Americans not only are cowards but they funded Hamas out of compassion for the Palestinians. How’d that work out for you silent Jews?

Excellent job my friend Gen Douglas. Being silent is says you are in agreement with what’s happening. i heard a wise man say if you don’t stand up for something you will fall for anything. Stand up and make a difference.
