Til The Troops Come Home

By | May 29, 2014

[May 29, 2014] All over New York City, I’ve been finding Yellow Ribbons tied to utility poles with a small United States flag, like the one pictured here. I asked my neighbors and no one seems to know who is putting the ribbons about town. I looked up the source of the yellow ribbon tape itself and it is readily available through a number of commercial markets. Those involved have my respect and admiration.

Til-the-Troops-Come-HomeDue to so many of these, I can only assume that it is an organized event but no search for the group or organization has turned up anything. If any of my readers discover them, please let us know.

Showing respect for others is an admirable trait of people. Americans are known the world over for this trait and it continues.
