[June 28, 2026] It’s late Saturday night and I’m tired. What made me so tired? First off, I was nervous about traveling out to the western side of New Jersey (yeah, only a little over an hour drive) to attend a U.S. Marine O-6 level change of command. For those who’ve spent any time in the military, know that a change of command is a big deal; very big. I was nervous, so I woke up at 4 AM. That’s just dumb, but hey, waking up too early made me tired. So, I decided I’d resort back to my Sunday Morning in Pictures series; for you.
Second, I was traveling with others (I wasn’t driving and that’s good) who are good friends and so we were bantering about the military in general, and that got us all hyped up. I’d had plenty of coffee to start the day (bad coffee, which is what I make and it’s really bad because I make it), and so my caffeine level must have been through the roof. I know because I had to hit the men’s room multiple times. That made me nervous.
All went well. I made it home. My dog was happy to see me (I got a thorough sniffing for proof she still loves me). And my wife was unhappy I was gone so long. She is trying to take care of me with my bad leg. That’s another story. Wow, it sucks getting old.
For today, I have a few beautiful memes of dogs. Yep, dogs. I love dogs; little ones, big ones, tall or short ones. They’re great. They love you no matter what you do or what you look like. My dog Bella tires me out. And that is her job.
Sit back and look through these dog memes: Just relax.

I hear that Britain is banning dogs, or at least their Muslim population wants to get rid of them.
“Full list of 67 dog breeds that could soon be banned in the UK”
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/full-list-67-dog-breeds-37156477
Anyone discovered to be in possession of a banned dog may have it seized, even if no complaints have been raised and the dog has not been witnessed behaving aggressively. Potential upcoming legislation could see approximately 67 dog breeds, which suffer as a result of selective breeding for aesthetic purposes, face a ban in Britain.
BRITAIN IS LOST …….
Yikes !!!!! Love your dogs.
Great dog series. What about the cats? Meow.
Doggie ……..
Gen. Satterfield’s dog memes are paw-some therapy after that early wake-up call. Who needs coffee when Bella’s sniffing approval hits harder? Change of command nerves? That’s just military-grade FOMO at 4 AM. Bad coffee and bathroom sprints—classic veteran survival mode. Wife’s leg care sounds sweet, but “sucks getting old” is the real meme. Dogs love unconditionally, unlike that bad coffee. These pics beat any leadership book for Sunday laughs. Bella tires you out? Mission accomplished, floof commander. Marine O-6 handover got you hyped, but doggos stole the show. Relaxing with memes: best post-retirement strategy yet. Thanks for the chuckles, sir—woof woof!
👍👍👍👍👍 All thumbs up. I don’t know how I missed this post from yesterday. But thank you Gen. Satterfield for making my day. 👍👍👍👍👍
WHOSE A GOOD BOY?
I love ❤️ dogs. Dogs 🦮 are the best friends. They never betray you like humans 🤮do. News shows us where a “Animal rescue” farm was actually killing the dogs they were taking in for “protection.” Over 100 dogs found dead, many with bullet holes at a California rescue. https://youtu.be/epxZjHGdflw?is=A4xBuTCgcj-2oxUl
Subhumans running the place. Now they should be shot too and buried on th3e property. Disgusting. 🤢
So sad and horrific. And we are proud to know that Gen. Satterfield is also a lover of dogs. 🐾
Great post, Gen. Satterfield. Dog memes are perfect for a relaxing Sunday. Their energy matches these funny images. As well, military change of command sounds meaningful. Glad you made it home safe. Laughter boosts the spirit. Unconditional love from dogs is special. Thanks for sharing these. Keep the pictures coming. Enjoy your day with Nancy and Bella.
Yeah, wish I could have been at the Marine change of command. My uncle was in the Korean War and he told me about what happened whenever they changed commanders, for whatever reason – and in combat too. It was a specific time, place, and circumstances. Everyone knew their immediate commander, and that man made sure. It is a tradition of our militaries that everyone knows who the commander is, because there is the duty to follow their commands/orders. That is how battles are won, period. No messing around and claiming you’re a stupid victim like so many GenZ’ers do these days. Our youth are weak, stupid, and privileged, and worse, they think they’re smarter and morally superior to everyone else. That is a dangerous ideology.
🇺🇸 Happy Birthday to America (in 6 days and counting). 🇺🇸
For those new here at Gen. Satterfield’s blog, here is a link to all his Pictures on Sunday Morning: https://www.theleadermaker.com/?s=Sunday+morning
You’ll love them all.
Once again, u made me laugh hard. 😁🐶💯. 🤠
Thanks, Cowboy Bob. Your comment made my day. Dog memes always hit the spot. Gen. Satterfield’s Bella keeps me laughing too. Military life taught me the value of humor. Glad you enjoyed the post. Laughter is good medicine. Keep that cowboy spirit strong. Dogs teach unconditional love. Appreciate your support. Let’s keep sharing laughs.
Sir, thank you for your service, and wishing you all the best …… and to Gen. Satterfield and his family too, esp as we enter the United States of America 250th birthday, now, in less than a week. Great times. Great celebrations. Great fireworks. Great patriotism.
That’s a good thing. Yikes !!!!
