40 Days for Life

By | February 22, 2023

[February 22, 2023]  No sane person would recommend to someone they love to have an abortion.  Abortion is wrong.  Thus, its extensive use as part of “health care” is a sign of an immature culture that values death over life.  Sadly, abortion is not just legal, but it is also vigorously celebrated.  To counter this trend,  the organization, 40 Days for Life, begins its annual vigils today to end abortion.

For 40 days, you will see ordinary people holding vigils and praying for an end to abortion.  This is a visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life, where they hold non-stop, round-the-clock prayer vigils outside abortion facilities.  Their presence is peaceful and educational.  Those called to stand witness during this presence send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion.

“The Holy Father greatly appreciates the dedicated work that you and everyone involved in 40 Days for Life are engaged in to promote respect for the lives of all unborn children.  His Holiness assures you of his prayerful support for you, your colleagues and all those who prayer, fasting and sacrifices are saving countless lives and giving glory to God.” – Pope Francis via Vatican Secretariat of State

Readers of my blog know that I stand for life.  I always have done so.  And I’ve put my life on the line during my long military career and plan to continue standing up for the weak, the unfortunate, and those unable to protect themselves.  Rule 36: Protect the weak and innocent.

❤❤❤❤❤, Right, babies are beautiful and killing babies is the worse thing in the world you can do. That is the very definition of evil. And you are evil if you support it.

I belong to a Right to Life group. Prayer is a vital part of what we do. We appreciate all your prayers and every dollar donated but we truly need volunteers to join our cause. Often we find that there are just too few who are willing to give their time to help us raise awareness. Be a guardian angel of life. Pray for all the babies born and unborn and let us also pray for the mothers who are considering an abortion that they be touched by the hand of God.

Armywife, keep doing what you are doing and, yes, we should pray for the babies. We should also stand up publically and let it be known that murder of infants is morally wrong, even if legal. I say this as a practicing Catholic, father, son, husband, and man of faith.

From the 40 Days for Life website:
The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day, non-stop, round-the-clock prayer vigil outside a single Planned Parenthood center or other abortion facility in your community. It is a peaceful and educational presence. Those who are called to stand witness during this 24-hour-a-day presence send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and those who patronize the facility.

Spot on comment folks. Thanks for helping us resist – legally and morally – the gross evilness of abortion and those who support it. We can convince them of the destruction they wrought and with the full consent of government in the likes of Pres Evil Biden.

Indeed, Biden (the braindead) and Harris (the laugher) are evil.

  3. Willie Strumburger

And pray that more people wake up to the evil of abortion.

Amen, Reverend Cain. And thanks to Gen. Satterfield for alerting us to this wonderful organization. ❤

Yes, please pray but also remember that ACTION is what makes real changes. Each day during 40 Days for Life, individuals, churches, families, and groups will be asked to join together in prayer for a specific request so the entire Body of Christ can unite around a common focus. Never forget that evil lurks not just in the abortion clinics where innocent lives are taken but also in our own hearts and thus we need to remain villigent there too.

Abortion is wrong. Why? It is the taking of an innocent life. Like Gen. Satterfield, I’m helping out too by joining Right to Life organizations in my community and volunteering for prayer vigils too. First rule, be peaceful. Second rule, pray for the innocent lives lost.

I wish these wonderful, Christian folks all the best. I sent them a few bucks that I hope will help in a small way.

Lady Hawk, thank you! Here is their donation page. Please, please, please take a few minutes to contribute. But more importantly, join them outside abortion clinics to pray and peacefully let the world know that abortion is immoral and sickening. Those women who get abortions find this out when they are depressed and suicidal.

      1. Tom Bushmaster

Sad but true. This evil and destructive part of abortion is never talked about in pro-abortion circles, these women are forgotten because who cares about their future? No one!

Thanks Janna. Keep the faith. ❤❤❤❤❤
