Abortion Abolitionists

By | December 18, 2023

[December 18, 2023]  I’ve wanted to write another article about abortion for many months, so here it is.  There is a man by the name of T. Russell Hunter who has a different take on abortion, and I’ll highlight some of his ideas today.  I want to note that Hunter calls himself an abortion abolitionist.  His organization is called Abolitionists Rising.

Russell Hunter leads a group called “Abortion Abolitionists.” He and those he leads in this movement are not pro-life, and they reject the label. They liken themselves to the slavery abolitionists of the 1800s.  And like slavery abolitionists who believed all slavery should be illegal, they believe all abortion should be illegal.

“People justified dehumanizing destructive treatment of black people by saying that they’re not human and they can’t even think.”

One of the more visible techniques he uses is through his art painted on large posters, and he stands on college campuses talking about the evils of abortion.  The signs are designed to draw attention, allowing him to engage the audience with his ideas.  Usually, we find him in a conversation with college students about pro-life, pro-choice, and pro-abortion stances.  He is none of these.

One of his more popular signs, designed to get an emotional response, reads:

“Negroes for Sale by auction.  Don’t like slavery?  Don’t buy a slave.  My property, my prerogative.  Don’t like abortion?  Don’t get an abortion.” – sign by T. Russell Hunter as shown in a YouTube video (13.11 minutes)

Hunter believes that abortion, like slavery, is all about dehumanization and destruction.  Again, he is comparing the slavery abolitionist movement to the abortion abolitionist movement.  He asks a question, so what do people say to justify abortion?  His answer, they say the unborn are not a person.  The parallels should be obvious.  And this is why he is an abolitionist.

For clarity, he is not comparing slavery to abortion, but he is comparing the arguments for slavery to the same arguments for abortion.

On his YouTube channel, he pins one encounter titled “My Body, My Choice” = “My Property, My Prerogative.”  It can be found here (see link) and is highly recommended.

Hard not to like this guy. His argument that the justification of abortion is the same or similar to the justification for slavery is spot on. And I see a lot of blacks who hate that comparison and the younger ones saying they are “triggered” by his posters and comments. Well, suck it up and work with this man to stand with the innocnet babies and keep them from being murdered.

I look up these abortion abolitionists and I actually love the way they operate. They are not as much in-your-face but are out there visible and are willing to politely engage in intellectual conversation. What you will see on their videos is that most young folks (usually on college campuses) readily and prolifically throw insults at them, and scream, and conduct themselves as petulant children. Thank you, Gen. Satterfield for giving us “Abortion Abolitionists.”

    ….
Powerful when comparing slavery and those who justified it with abortion and those who justify it. Same logic. But don’t ask them, they will be triggered.

Sir, thank you for alerting me to this movement. When a person stands of firm ethical, moral, and righteous grounds, then that person has no fear of what may come his way.

Right, General Satterfield stands against abortion and with the innocent and those who cannot protect themsevles. There is NO higher calling than to protect the weak and innocent.

The greatest civil rights issue of the 21st century is saving babies that otherwise would be legally and voluntarily aborted. Beware, those outspoken that babies inside their mother’s womb have any kind of rights are called sexists, heretics, stooges of ultra-right nationalism, chauvinists, and religious bigots. Gen. Sattefield nailed it with this comment.

“Do we want to be known forever as killers of the unborn? Do we want to be suckered by the news media, Hollywood celebrities, neo-Marxists, atheists, and government bureaucrats? Can we even distinguish between right and wrong? Even if I need to do this alone, I will stand for the yet unborn.” – Gen. Doug Satterfield

Power statement. The babies need protection. I am here today because of a strong mom who refused to have an abortion

I went to T. Russell Hunter’s website. Very well done!

This article was written by a pro-abortionist, so be careful when reading it but I wanted to show how the Abortion Abolitionist movement is being painted, painted as hypocrites and woman-haters. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Thank you Maureen. I agree that the anti-abortion movement is being labeled as led by anti-women men.

Found this comment on his YouTube channel and says a lot.
They make all kinds of excuses for being selfish and killing a baby. I was pregnant at 19 with no money, and no support. My son is 18 and joining the Marines the end of this month. We struggled and it was difficult but now I’m a registered nurse and in graduate school. Life is so short, choose Life for your baby so years later you don’t regret a choice you made and it’s 100% worth it! I love my son.

I stand against abortion. Put my name and face there. In a few years from now, we will win this argument and abortion will be illegal because the world will demand it. Pray for the millions of lost souls.

Thanks Gen. Satterfield for ‘highlighting’ this man’s efforts in Oklahoma. i understand that he takes his efforts to other states too. Plus, unexpectedly, he is an artist. Most artists today are hyper-liberal and very chic in their latest progressive fad following. Let’s thank this man for what he does to make arguments against abortion.

This man is a hero, trying to save babies in the womb. I’m surprised you didn’t label him as such, Gen. Satterfield. Let’s say it all together, T. Russell Hunter is a HERO.

Indeed, Sadako Red, he is a hero and I was remiss not to say so. Thanks for the correction. I stand with my head held low for this oversight. 😊 I look forward to your next article, as many of our readers have been asking about you. 👀👀👀👀👀

Audrey, nailed it. Slo Joe doesn’t have much left except his evil. I’ve also said this repeatedly over the last few years (note that Gen. Satterfield pointed this out too, but in a more polite way). I’m not polite. Joe Biden is EVIL incarnate and pulls the wool over people’s eyes by syaing things that sound good but are supported by his evil.
