Clearing the Spindle: the Malevolent Heart

By | March 2, 2021

[March 2, 2021]  Wow, there has been so much happening over the past few weeks that I’ve gotten behind on articles I wanted to write.  So, I am resurrecting my ‘clearing the spindle‘ series and taking on some of these article topics.  Just the other day, I was walking my dog, and a lady comes out of her house to ask me a question regarding why our military Veterans were not getting their COVID vaccines.  It turns out, her husband was denied access to the vaccine by the Veterans Administration “because he makes too much money.” That is true.  I wrote and called on my Senators and House Representatives to do something about this problem – the vaccines are paid for by the U.S. government, so who cares who gives the shots. I’m still waiting on the results. I’ll wait a long time.

Today’s theme is the barbarian, malevolence of the human heart.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is in trouble for alleged sexual harassment.  Two women have now accused Cuomo of sexual harassment, and likely there are more to come.  Gov. Cuomo admitted that some things he said might be taken the wrong way.  I guess so, like when he said, “Let’s play strip poker.” There are many more stories like this, and it explains why the governor released a statement saying he is ‘sorry’ for his workplace’ jokes.’ What will happen?  I have no idea, but I hope he resigns (doubtful).  I hope he resigns, not for the sexual harassment accusations but because of his policies and the coverup of his policies that were so disastrous in treating New York’s nursing home residents.  Thousands of our most at-risk elderly residents died because of him.  https://nypost.com/2021/02/15/cuomos-covid-cover-up-hid-nearly-1900-nyc-nursing-home-deaths/

Massive government-support for censorship in the United States.  Anyone who doesn’t see the over-the-top censorship by Big Tech, Amazon, retailers, and individual government politicians is incredibly blind and purposefully ignorant that it boggles the mind.  Even lefty comedian Bill Maher recently went on a rant against cancel culture in his HBO show this past Friday. “Memo to social justice warriors: when what you’re doing sounds like an Onion headline, stop!” Several House Democrats sent intimidating letters to cable TV networks that practically demands they stop carrying Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax.  Now Amazon is quietly banning ‘offensive’ books – translation; political conservatives write them.  All the while, our federal government encourages this censorship.  My favorite quote by Vivek Ramaswamy, “Name ONE time in human history when the group fighting to ban books and censor speech were the good guys. I’ll wait …” https://thehill.com/opinion/civil-rights/495788-the-dangerous-liberal-ideas-for-censorship-in-the-united-states

The City of Minneapolis prepares for police officer Derek Chauvin’s trial for the death of George Floyd.  The trial begins on March 8.  Officer Chauvin was the only officer on the scene who had the experience to deal with the oversized career criminal and drug addict George Floyd.  The area around the downtown courthouse is taking on the look of a ‘military occupation.’  Why are city leaders concerned?  In part, professional leftist agitators are preparing for a battle, and activist groups have already announced plans for “protests,” beginning the first day of the trial.  Furthermore, Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, local media, and various other politicians have painted themselves into a corner by publically announcing the officer guilty of “murder.”  It is too late for the authorities to acknowledge that their case against officer Chauvin is not airtight.  https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/02/a-city-prepares-for-a-trial.php

Great article on important subjects of the day. Please keep this series going, Gen. Satterfield. This is a good way for those of us marginally following the news (because we work hard and long hours) to get what you think is important.

For those new to Gen. Satterfield’s website on leadership, I will draw your attention to a number of his “series.” This one is the 10th in a series where he summaries some of the controversies surrounding our society. Mostly, they point to evil and show how this evil grows mostly unabated. That itself is a sad commentary but moreso I find that there are many of us who do nothing about it. Step up, be heard, volunteer in your community. Don’t let the neo-Marxists get you down. Understand what it means to be brave and resolute. You will be so much better for it.

Max, well said. I always look forward to reading your comments because you hit right at the heart of the problem. Cowardice is what our politicians want from us, not being brave or resolute (as you say). They want cowards because they get their way when we are all cowards.

We are all happy we have folks in this forum like Max, Eric, and others who help add to the meat that Gen. Satterfield gives us. This forum has done an enormous amount of assistance to help me understand these articles and flushed out many of my arguments to make them stronger and more resilient. I’m better for it.

Keep up the great work you are doing, Gen. Satterfield. Articles like this, that are part of a series, are very helpful to see what “you” are “seeing.” When I can get into the mind of someone successful, it allows me to think about what they are thinking and perhaps understand why they are so successful. Well done! Keep this articles coming.

You got that right, Dead Pool Guy. Others recommend it, so will I … make a separate page for these “spindle” updates. That way we all can get a better picture of what is good and evil in our society.

#2 is the scary one. The US govt is encouraging censorship and actively participating. Someone needs to do some serious butt kicking of political whackos.

Ha Ha, tell us what you think, old warrior. Well said and I think the frame of mind most of us have. 👍

Some may have missed your issue with the VA not giving the COVID vaccine to qualified Veterans. That is a sad note in our history of helping our Vets.

I am esp. interested in following the trial of police officer Derek Chauvin. I cannot, for the life of me, understand that Minneapolis is the venue for this trial. The mob is just outside the door. What juror would vote to acquit?

RJ, I think that is the point here. The venue should have moved out of the area where leftists “protests” have no effect. If you don’t think jurors are not tainted by the mobs, then think again. It’s happened many times and will continue to do so as long as political elites encourage such irresponsible behavior.

I’ll be praying that those involved in the trial will do their jobs properly and not be influenced by the evil that has taken over so many of our cities.

Thank You! Rev Cain, please continue to help bring people together instead of what I see as a divisive ideology set up by the Democrat Party in the US. They are doing enormous harm.

Once again, I’m enjoying this website and am happy that you brought back your ‘clearing the spindle’ series. It is a good way to see what you’re thinking and what those who are no longer in the tug of the PC ideology are also thinking about.

Great list today, Gen. Satterfield and I will also draw attention to your Daily Favorites as well. Keep up the detective work, it is paying off by bringing folks around to the idea that our elite leaders are so full of malevolent faults that they need to go.

Good comment, Emma. Thanks. I will also draw everyone’s attention to the tabs located on Gen. Satterfield’s webpage that brings to fore many resources for leaders. Don’t overlook them. That esp. includes the electronic books he has published.
